CASEY: Rd 02 vs Richmond

Didn't know where else to put this, and not worth a new thread, but Bayley Fritsch's 22-year-old brother Darcy was on SEN this afternoon having kicked 20 goals 4 behinds for Coldstream on the weekend (14 goals after 1/2 time...). Had one praccy game for Casey during 20-COVID (and also tried out for the other R&Bs, Norwood?) Is taking the break that 2021 at Coldstream offers but sounds like he might try his hand again - hopefully at Casey? - next year.

I had not seen this when I posted in the Darcy Fritsch thread.  Some good info there, cheers.

Gees Majak is a rock in defence across half back. HIs contested marking is spot on

He is very much worth a 'senior' game against North Melb as a forward, a backman, a ruck interceptor, an obstacle who tackles strongly and marks truly.

Disagree.  There's plenty in the queue in front of Majak, romantic as the notion may be.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

It was only a preseason match but the new look Demons spearheaded by new coach Steven King looked impressive as they put on a clinic against perennial cellar-dwellers North Melbourne as they cruised to an 80 point victory at Casey Fields.
