Geez, the girls not doing themselves justice today sadly. They look second best in every facet. There are shades of the West Coast prelim about this one.

This is really poor from the Demons. Horrible skills, not changing tactics just keep kicking it back to them. Keep your head girls! Handball, short kicks

I’ve been a staunch defender of AFLW, but this standard is pure [censored]...it’s not unreasonable to say that the u15s down at any local park in Melbourne right now demonstrate more understanding of the game than what is being displayed here.

with that rant aside, we have no forward structure and have simply fumbled everything under pressure.

We're in Hail Mary territory now. We need a toby greene style flurry of quick goals to have any hope.

Have you watched any of our games this year or have you waited until the prelim to stick the boot in?

Call on Kayo is that Adelaide centric now on

Yes, terrible caller.

C'mon Dees, get two quick ones.

Crows are marking everything.

We are trying hard, just don't have a system that works.

The Tarrant miss set us back. Need to get the ones that are easy, no goals.

It’s the ability to execute skills under pressure which sets players apart. Hanks and Paxy have been great in that regard.  I reckon it’s Gaby Colvin’s best game.  Adelaide have been too strong. It has been a joy watching them this season, well for Meggs at least.

I’ve watched them all and attended them all in person here in Vic. I’m not just sticking the boot into our girls, it’s about the standard of the competition.

the inability to pick up the ball below the knees and the constant fumbling under no pressure does my head in.

how would you assess the progress over the last 5 years??

Consolation goal.  Can we a few more?  11:08 on the clock 32:11

Our progress this season, other than a bad mid-season wobble, has been excellent.

I don't like condescending remarks comparing the women to U15's. It's out of order imv.

And if our men can show half the heart of this team we'll be a long way towards a tilt at the flag

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
