Good win with some nice highlights last night and glad we infected the Pies last week with inaccuracy.....2.8 sheesh. How much would it take the Dogs to lose by for us to overtake them into the top 6?

Lily Mithen is an almost star.

She is quick, her disposal are thoughtful.

Why does she seem to run into the opposition?

I'd like to see her move into space and not congestion when she wins the ball. She goes a bit straight line. Needs some lateral and backward movement or some tricks and baulks, shimmy's, tight turns.

I wish she hated getting tackled and becomes untouchable.

Needs also to push off, or off step her opponent. They regularly seem to be right on her tail.

Love that she gets to the ball first and is tough.

Yep she's very willing but not very crafty or skilled. Even though she's young she plays like she didn't get the elite junior development unfortunately. Hopefully she can add some of that over time.

Hanks is pretty much the only refined player we have in terms of smarts and skills. Maddy Gay might be second. Daisy has clearly just worked exceptionally hard to develop a wide range of skills too but she's a bit clunkier. Shelley Scott is solid too.

Some of our best players can do a couple of things really well but can let themselves down under pressure too. Hore and Zanker are classic examples. Paxman is a star but she doesn't really have a lot of moves either, she'll often just out run opponents or get tackled and fight through it to dispose. It makes it harder for her against the best sides.

Even our draftees aren't all that well rounded. Bannan is supremely talented and has some tricks but has lots to work on and McNamara is frustrating because her work rate is exceptional but she doesn't know how to get out of trouble safely either.

Add Lauren Pearce to one of our most important player.

She is determined.

Zanker has the yips infront of goal. A few on the board, will add confidence and fix her up.

We need Cummins taking marks.

At times this year we have played a stylish game, with reasonable efficiency. The first game of the season was an example. We have just gone a bit downhill with use of the ball since then.

Hoping they can create elite efficiency, and finish the home and away well.

Lauren Pearce is an interesting one. At her best she is dominant. But she also has games where her ruck work is inconsistent, she can spill marks and her kicking gets too cute. I trust her effort and she is rarely beaten, but contest to contest there's inconsistency from her that frustrates me.

Amazing what can happen when you go woman on woman from the get go instead of the loose zone nonsense early.

Having a target up forward very handy also.  Apologies to Daisy.  May have found a new lease of life at FF.

Pierce the difference around the ground imo.   While the finish by foot may not be great, she imposed herself on so many contests.

Zanker, Hore and Bannen very good also.  Is Hore related in any way to Marty i wonder?

Good to get the win on Saturday, but St Kilda showed the gaping chasm between the top and bottom halves of the ladder. We were good in parts, and average in others, but will need to be much better overall to beat Adelaide.

It was good to see Stinear mix a few things up this week. We'll need to play a stronger defence next week, which probably needs to include Scott, and hopefully Downie. The Zanker midfield experiment should continue, as should Daisy up forward. We need to keep giving as many minutes as possible to Bannan and McNamara.

Well done girls great win

Loved the moves the coach made

Daisey should become a permanent forward, she is the class that was needed forward

Also zanker playing mid was a excellent decision by coaches, added much needed height and strength
