In the first four rounds back all of our games are twilight matches. Should we be doing some training at night rather than exclusively in the morning?

The players will revolt if you take away their afternoon nap

Yes, and particularly when the team will be announced.   say Thursday/Friday nights.?

Geelong have been doing this for years. Driving home from work the lights are always on when their upcoming game is a night fixture.
We need a proper base/home if we are to become elite.

More often than not that's their VFL team.

With the industry trying to cut costs everywhere you must wonder who is paying the Cats power bill? Maybe Danger has put his hand in his pocket.

Maybe they've installed solar panels and a suitable battery as part of one of their many upgrades which would mke the power free. (And if they haven't, why not? Grandstands have lots of suitable real estate to instal solar panels.)

Let's face it, with the list reductions, loss of income and pay cuts that are going to take place from 2021, it might see the return of players needing to have a job during business hours, and will be made to train at night.

Seriously though, I'm doubtful of it returning to that type of scenario, but it will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
