Yep, he had the last laugh alright. Winning all those premiersh.....oh.

Well at least he has been All Australi.....hm.

....how has he had the last laugh again?

His wiki page lists his career highlights as:

So basically all his career highlights came while he was at Melbourne. .

I guess his option was to stay at Melbourne & struggle to get a regular game or go to another club where he has become probably the first picked in the backline along with Maynard. He seems to be rated very highly by Buckley. His career was seemingly at the crossroads in 2016 & has gone on to play 83 games in 4 seasons including 6 finals.

My last laugh comment was reflective of Collingwoods success as a team over the last few years compared to us & not specifically related to Howe's individual awards.

For what its worth the Dees have only won 34% of their games in the last decade whereas Collingwood (as much as I hate them) have won 62%.

I see that this is a good more for Howe.

That is ok with the comments you came out with Jeremy.  The thing is that  the Melbourne boys are competitive as all the clubs are. they do not forget certain comment at the club.

The  problem is that they won't forget it and will use it for motivation.  It will be just what we need.  It could cost  the wobbles a spot in the eight in the end of things.  I wouldn't be too disappointed  if you injured yourself somehow.

You played 100 games for us and became an automatic MCC member for the achievement. You don't get that from a feral football club as the one you are playing for.

After his comment to disrespectfully can the Club who gave him his start and learnings in big-league football, I bet the Mighty Dees' players are queueing up to man him up, next time we play The Filth.

I’m being a bit facetious obviously (mainly cause I think Howe is a dropkick), but by the two key measures of success in this game, both as a team and as an individual, he’s come up empty handed.

I think “last laugh” is going a bit far, but I take your point that his career has elevated since being at Collingwood.

Jeremy Howe made an off the cuff comment - which, given the circumstances, I thought was a pretty funny one-liner.

To now suggest that the Melbourne players will want to extract some sort of revenge for this comment is just absurd. While the players will already have an opinion of Howe following his departure a few years back, I bet if you now asked the players about this comment, they would probably just laugh.

To suggest that Howe is a "germ" and a host of other insults is, in my opinion, just disgraceful. His character assassination in this thread by people who most likely have never even met him is something we should be ashamed of.

The guy possess the one single trait that excites all fans - no matter what team they follow - and he does this week after week - he is a once in a generation player for that skill alone.

So the guy wanted to leave the MFC - get over it - I'm sure his ex-teammates have.

I hate all the talk of being a 'snowflake' as it is applied these days as it sometimes gets unfairly thrown at people who DO feel mental hurt in certain situations that others may not understand.
In this case though, the tag is apt. If this is enough to knock off your equilibrium, you need to get out more.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
