Featured Replies

It's pretty poor but it's just a prac match, not the end of the world, btw:

mark jamar has taken a big mark and goals.

3.1.19

0.1.1

Melbourne 3.1.19

Adelaide 0.1.1

Jamar mark and goal for our third.

The big fella is certaintly an asset to have resting up forward on occassion.

True that.

Quarter Time:

Melbourne 3.1.19

Adelaide 0.2.2

Remember we had the advantage of the wind in the first quarter. However - note SEN report below.

SEN report - Quite good conditions. Demons look very controlled in their use of the ball. More settled than the Crows. Said the weather wasn't bad and the wind wasn't all that strong.

That's just farked, what a joke...

1st Quarter update

Melbourne 3.1.19

Adelaide 0.2.2

Goals: Green, Bate, Jamar.

White, Jones, Petterd & C. Johnson everywhere, Jamar big contested pack mark up forward and goaled, Miller 3 marks (good early).

Melb with a slight breeze.

Melbourne smashing Adelaide in the hardball contests and midfield and in the ruck.

Melb's leg speed far superior.

Melb has 8 on bench, Adel. has 10.

Frawley on Welsh

Go Dee's.

True that.

Beamer, Hughes, Garland, Frawley, Buckley, Davey, White, Ferg all playing.

Jamar and White close to best on. Go figure that.

From the BigFooty thread

Moloney cleaned up Massie

:)

Beamer, Hughes, Garland, Frawley, Buckley, Davey, White, Ferg all playing.

Little wonder that our rucks are winning. Do the Crows have any ruckmen left standing?

BTW: Heath Neville is one of the selected 28 not playing as he played in yesterday's Sandy praccy game.

Crows just kicked their first and are getting more of the play in the second term.

Melbourne 3.1.19

Adelaide 1.4.10

"Chris McDermott reckons Melbourne fans will be in for some frustrations this year - so you can just about guarantee top 4 now."

Chris McDermott writing us off after 30 mins of a practice game where half our team is missing

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
