With Geelong 7th on the ladder and Casey ninth this is the classic 8 point game.

One game and percentage separate the two teams.

Geelong only have three players on the injured list so they will be fielding a strong team.

No Preuss who has been dominating at this level makes it a tough ask but the weather is 17 degrees with strong northerlies suggesting a relatively pleasant day out.

Cats are blessed when it comes to having a full list.  Some very good VFL players not even in the squad!!  James Tsitas is a very good player. Good tough as nails lockdown half back yet only gets a run off the bench. 

Not in the named side but there's a late change to the Casey Demons VFL team with 2018 Dandenong Stingrays premiership player Matt Gahan making his debut for Casey today.

How Lefau isn't in the starting 18 is perplexing.!! I reckon he has some serious X Factor!

Anyone know why Bradtke is not playing?   Also is there a streaming service of this game?

Maybe already upgraded on our list PF!!??? ....speed X factor.  Something we have very little of right now, especially the latter!

Decided to venture to Casey. Beautiful sunny day but quite windy. Based on the performance of Casey and Melbourne in the past I’m expecting to see 4 times as many behinds as goals.

How old is he? 

Smith and Baker out there. Guessing that means Hannan and Dunkley travelled with the seniors. 

Correction Hannan out there too under a yellow training top so I missed it

Casey kicking with what I think is a 3-4 goal breeze. Started ok. JKH just squibbed a marking contest right in front of me

JKH with the first after a great marking contest by Smith. Baker started well

Casey has first use of a gusting wind and Jay Kennedy Harris gets first blood with a nice goal.

It appears that Melbourne has taken Kyle Dunkley and Oscar McDonald up to Alice Springs as the traveling emergencies which leaves Casey somewhat undermanned.

Mykelti Lefau goals to give Casey a 15 point lead. The Cats have yet to score.

Strong mark and goal to kielty

JKH and spargo missed simple kicks to teammates. Disappointing although both playing reasonably well. Hutchins the standout for me

Have the scored enough with this wind advantage.

A sub par score given the wind. Tackling pressure has been excellent. This quarter will be the test. Spargo, Baker, Smith and Hutchins the best for mine

Would happily have Lefau on the list before the likes of JKH, ANB, Spargo, Jwags and Billy for the 2020 season.

Plenty of speed and X factor that the others lack and pretty clean with ball in hand.  Knows where the goals are also.  A fair way off AFL level at this point but has weapons the others don't. 

Prospective AFL star if managed well.
