Does anyone here see Spargo becoming anything other than "good ordinary"?

Smart, sure - but how is he going to be elite? Not tall, not quick, not a great tackler, can't kick it 40 metres and not a special set shot.

Sorry if anyone takes offence. Just asking how he becomes elite.

LF Read my post yesterday in the Petracca topic along with Weids and that's my answer.

Indredible.

It won't be long before it becomes, "at least he is trying".

I would suggest a lot of your posts on players are becoming tiresome to a host of other posters. You mentioned some time ago in another thread that you were a talent scout for another afl club, would love to know which club that was.You obviously take great delight in bagging MFC players at every opportunity.

Frost will become a very important player when May and Lever are back!! Bookmark this comment!

Oscar was dreadful last night

Fully agree - Frosty with the full backline minus OMac - great combination.

Oliver basically won us the game imo. He lifted his intensity in the second half and his ability to move through a contest at speed and be clean in doing so is brilliant. The contrast between him and his fumbling teammates could not be more stark. Try to sign him for 6+ years next contract...he needs to be the pillar around which we grow.

That's cool Amigo, I'm not here to find new friends. Just voice an opinion.

Every forum needs some different personalities.

I'm happy to be your sore thumb.

I don't bag all MFC players. Only ones who I deem not up to it. I'm not always correct. But sometimes I am.

Not in my best 30 FWIW.

Oscar had a bad night and is out of form. But watching live, he at least got to the right spots before being beaten at the contest.

This post is quite unbelievable. Are you really happy that we had a player that got to the right spots but was outplayed?

Cmon this is AFL football - a professional sport. You have to be good at something. They all have flaws. We will never have a team of 22 guns. It doesn't work that way.

But you must have players with some decent attributes. Frost is a flawed player but he has some terrific attributes. Do they outweigh his flaws? It depends. He did a pretty good job on Buddy again.

But OMac doesn't seem to have any key attributes. Zac Dawson is a better player than OMac - he was a terrible footballer but at least he could nullify players.

BTW its not OMacs fault. He is what he is. But he shouldn't be learning his craft in the seniors.

I have always said I doubt he will make it because he doesn't have any key attributes. I hope I am wrong. We need 22 good players every week.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
