I’ll never forget the noise erupting from the punt road end when Watts kicked the sealer.

The look on my boy’s face was priceless

I seem to recall us meeting a bit more recently than Round 11 last year…

True - last time we played them in Round 23, 2017 and before that in Round 12, 2017 but this time, we're playing them in Round 11, 2018.

I choose to erase that game, and indeed that entire weekend of football from my memory

Rnd 12 Andy

Other than the inclusion of Viney and a new tall defender, our team this week will be very similar the one from round 23 last year, just a few changes on the edges. Hopefully they have learned some lessons from what was as poor a performance in a big game as I can remember.

On paper, sure.

But in practice, we're a different team, don't you reckon Poita. Your name should be changed: it inevitably makes me think of Eric Bana doing his chook head Poita. Champagne comedy and most distracting

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
