Wilson7 2,689 Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 I would love it if David Neitz gets inducted to The Hall of Fame tonight. It's a disgrace that Laurie Mithen & Bluey Adams are not yet in the Hall of Fame, Garry Lyon deserves to be in as well. Starts tonight 7:30 on Foxtel https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/live-australian-football-hall-of-fame-ceremony-2018-who-will-become-footys-next-legend/news-story/e710384369e207459c2246b0f29b6d6c Quote

Jibroni 5,057 Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Jimmy Stynes was the most recent player to be inducted, its about time for Garry or Neita to be included. 1 Quote

Great, would love to see Neita and Lyon get in. Neita 300 plus games and 600 plus goals all time leader at the MFC for both, its a no brainer. 1 Quote

Guest Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Bloody love this. The Gaz Man is viewed as the better player by many but that's mostly because of his media profile I reckon. Neita was a bit like Nate in that the captaincy never came naturally to him. However, he was a beacon of strength from the very moment he ironed out Luke McCabe in that regard. Imagine his goal kicking stats had he played as a permanent forward for his entire career. Quote
Wilson7 2,689 Posted May 29, 2018 Author Posted May 29, 2018 Terry Wallice no.3 inductee for the night Quote
Wilson7 2,689 Posted May 29, 2018 Author Posted May 29, 2018 (edited) Bernie Naylor no.2 inductee for the night World War II interrupted Naylor's career at South Fremantle but he returned to be a dominant force, finishing with 1034 goals from just 195 matches. Will have to disagree with that CB, Lyon was every bit as good as Neita. Had the latter part of his career ruined by injury unfortunately Edited May 29, 2018 by DavidNeitz9 1 Quote
