Punters: you can still get $12 for the Dees to win the premiership and $26 for Gawn to win the Brownlow. I suggest you take both.

We have our young and hungry best 25 fit and available for selection. But most importantly as a team we are improving by the week.

We have the dominant ruckman who could have well polled  Brownlow votes in 8 games (out of 9).

As MFC supporters we naturally hold massive failure, doom and conned psychological issues.

We have every right to feel this.... to be pessimistic. However, the times have changed..... I am callng it. The MFC time has come.

Supporters; Open your eyes to where we are, rather than sufficienting yourself on where we have been. Let the past go!!

$26 for a Gawn Brownlow is awesome odds. $12 for a Dees Premiership is as good as it will get.

I am convinced, our time has begun. Get on board.

I am!

What are the odds for Dangerfield to the Dee’s whilst you’re at it.

Gawn gives the umps too much lip, something that I have no doubt effects their voting (one of the best individual games I have seen was Greg Williams against us at Princess park- he got no votes)

Was there with a Carlton mate and upon walking back to the tram stop we said to each other that if he didn't get three votes that day, we knew Brownlow was rigged. We know what history says now, Greg Williams got a Brownlow stolen from him and I've lost my enthusiasm for the award since that year.

Im on Max at 26 for a few weeks and he was into 21 on ladbrokes this morning. I heard he was 15/1 at the TAB but i havent looked. It definitely wont last and will only take an injury or two for him to come into double figures.

If you want to talk punting, feel free to drop into A Day at the Races thread. WE will listen.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
