How was your flight back from Perth last night????

It was a car ride from the MCG ☀️

Tigers are going alright, I’m sure they will remain positive

It’s amazing what happens when you have positive people running your club - thank you AFL

I get annoyed  at playing teams with extra days break.

We play in NT on Sunday, then we play Doggies who will have played on Friday

Just looking at the fixture, our last three games are all teams we will play for the first time.

That is madness.

Also playing a team that played on Friday night to our Sunday.

The AFL corrupt - hahaha

if we did not have a fixture over the last 10 some of the smaller drawing club including us would not be here today.

What absolute garbage.

Now fit in GWS...Suns...into that.

The AFL is an ol boys club to beat all.

When did Collingwood, Essendon or Hawthorn last play at the Cattery?

It is always Melbourne, North, Western Bulldogs, Fremantle etc.

Geelong has the only real Home Ground advantage left out of all the Victorian teams.

The corrupt AFL  - it is and always will be about $$$$.

There's a lot about the draw I don't like, but in this instance I'm on the AFL's side. The AFL's job should be to ensure the most people as possible can get to each game where their team is playing. Big supported teams can't get all their supporters into the cattery, hence those games are and should be played in Melbourne.

I disagree....the game is played by the teams...not us.

It should be fixtured to be fairer to the teams.

How does a game at Kitty Litterland aid Melb Spectators anyway ? Just hands Geelong a freekick all the time.

You will never get a “perfect fixture” there will always be someone at one club or another who is not happy.

The only way to get close is get bums on seats year in year out. Some clubs supporters have proven trusted track record and have earned the rights to the fixture they have.

Its just an argument in AFL circles not worth having. AFL over compensates for the small clubs - but their supporters will never see that - such is life.

I understand your point. Nevertheless, even though it might be played by the teams,  they play for us. If there were no supporters there would be no competition. It follows that the games should be played in front of as many people as possible. It's also why the AFL needs to balance the cash it gets from TV rights from the exposure provided on free to air TV. The more games which are played on pay TV, the fewer people there will be watching. And that's not in the longterm interests of the game. I just hope the way they calculate value from TV rights takes into consideration not just cash paid, but numbers of potential viewers able to see the AFL product.

I'd be more supportive of that view if they therefore moved some Geelong home games to the MCG.   Either that or widen the Geelong ground to resemble the width of all other AFL grounds.  Ridiculous advantage to them as it is.
