AFL Evolution Game

AFL 98 (I think it was) was fun. Jeff Farmer was able to run down anyone, and I could win every game by 200+ points

I remember playing this on PC... You could shrink the opposition to midgets, still get a laugh at them taking a hanger over a full sized player

Just saw that, twitter is saying EB Games have released early..

Would love an update if anyone's got their hands on it!

Yep- http://press-start.com.au/news/xbox/2017/05/04/afl-evolution-now-breaking-street-date/

I'm currently off work, hobbling around on crutches after tearing a ligament in my foot during footy on the weekend haha so although I can't drive to my nearest EB games, I've got someone currently going to get it for me, so I'll let you know once it's installed and updated!
Here's hoping Dec's character actually looks like him.

It's very good! Massive improvement on afl live 2

similar to AFl live but I am really enjoying dominating the blues

Unfortunate that only EB has it, as JB is $20 cheaper!

I thought it was a big no no to release games prior to the release date?

EB for 79, they price match, but apparently JB have now caught on and released it this afternoon.

Released early because xbox already have available online?

Doesn't EB price match?

Did you get it for $79 from Eb? I didn't think they would price match if it was matching a pre order price.

Very strange to be release early, unheard of in fact.

Do they have a manager/franchise kind of mode? That's what I really want from AFL games these days!

Yep 79 dollarydoos

Are you able to edit the players stats? I read they did the stats based off the 2015 season for some reason, so rookies and youngsters are all rated poorly. Not keen on having Clayton Oliver as one of the lowest rated players in the league lol

So far I'm loving it, can't figure out contested marking though

I changed to the dynamic camera angle and it's a definite improvement

Anyone with the game have any idea about being able to alter player stats?

end to end locked seems pretty good, far distance

AFL 98 definitely the best AFL game so far.

PS. Released 20 years ago? Jesus.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
