How do you want to go about this? I can list them now or do you prefer Raceday?Ā I’ve also got 3 ā€œ Emergenciesā€ ready to go in case of scratchings.Ā

@Wadda We SingĀ raise the bat mate! 3000 likes!!

Its up to you DZ. Whenever you want to doesnt bother me. You can make late adjustments for scratchings if they occur.

I note your team the panthers are still 1.85 against the 2.00 away side on the bottom of the NRL ladder Cowboys at your home ground tomorrow night. Are you able to make anything out of that?

Ā

Yeah ... but we won't start talking about it until tomorrow night.Ā  I haven't even had a look yet but will probably go at the Super Rugby again. Ā

Whenever DZ ... the last 2 picks are your domain.Ā

The 'Get On' crew like Savacool & Think Bleue especially but 'Gator' has 'Temple of Bel on top of Sopressa if that's any help.Ā

Injuries Wadda. They lost their young gun fullback for the season last weekend.Ā Already missing Cleary, Mansour and Blake. They are arguably their best 4 players.

JJ's has tipped Sopressa and then Savacool in the Oaks.Ā

And he is leaning towards Catchy in the Robert Sangster (reading between the lines) Mentioned that barrier 8 is a good one for the horse with the 400m dash to the turn. Ā

Anyway,Ā  here's our trifecta ...

  • W/2/3Ā  -Ā  Savacool
  • W/2/3Ā  -Ā  Think Bleue
  • W/2/3Ā  -Ā  Sopressa
  • 2/3Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  -Ā  Pleasuring
  • 2/3Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  -Ā  Temple Of Bel

I've got 2 best-bets in Wadda ... the other 2 might take a day or so though.Ā  One mate has gone early and my Super Rugby tip kinda jumped out at me at first glance.Ā  I'll post up the other 2 tips when I get 'em in.

  • Cronulla (1-12) over the Parramatta EelsĀ  $2.75
  • Waratahs (1-12) over the Auckland BluesĀ  $3.10

My best bet for the weekend - I need to get back on the winners list so I'm going to go with JJ's best bet - decent odds too!

MorphettvilleĀ  Race 2Ā  No.8Ā  Silent WarriorĀ  $4.00

Edited by Macca

Ā

Turns out they did get a bit of rain in Adelaide yesterday.

A Soft6 at the moment but quite windy ... could get back to a Good4 but a Soft5 is a possibility (according to the 'Experts')

Well,Ā  Silent Warrior should win then ... because JJ is due?Ā  Glass half full here Wadda.Ā Ā

I watched the 2 preview shows on fast-forward last night and then listened out for the best bet on RSN this morning and the consensus tip is 'Land of Plenty' in the 7th at Flemington tomorrow (No.8)Ā Ā Ā

He certainly is due.

He is currently tied for 7th at -3 ... three shots off the lead.Ā

One for the 'wider' exotics.Ā

Sportsbet is my standby betting agency when Ladbrokes fall short with the options.Ā  They've got the golf top 10 up and available.Ā

We look to get around 15-1 up to 25-1 for the first 3 tips in one bet and then add on the golf tip in another bet to win big.Ā  Small outlay of course so the risk is negligible.Ā

The 'Land Of Plenty' tip from the pundits is more to alert those reading this thread that it could be used as an add-on for multi punters.Ā

I'll throw it into a few 3 race multi's.Ā  I reckon 3 is about enough with the horses but they're are still very hard to get.Ā  Again,Ā  low risk with a small outlay.Ā

Got word back that it will probably be NBA Sunday (our time) ... could be anything though Wadda.Ā  When it comes through I'll post it up.Ā

I'm also looking forward to the 4 big races from overseas ... late tomorrow I'll post up the links again but I've picked out my choices after finding a bit more info.Ā

Knowing a fair bit about the runners makes watching the races all that more worthwhile - and of course having a wager on them more so again.Ā

Ok, no worries Macca.

Ok so here goes my weekly multi: 7 legs. Ive based it around Pleasuring running a big place in the Adelaide race. (at very reasonable odds).

AFL Hawthorn H2H $1.58

Morphettville Race 6. No 6. Pleasuring plc $4.75

Morphettville Race 8. No 1 Savapinski plc $1.60

NRL New Zealand Warriors H2H $1.53

NRL Cronulla Sharks H2H $1.73

Super Rugby Waratahs line -5.5 $1.91

AFL Melbourne H2H $1.38

Return $83.78 for $1.00

Ill do the postmortem Sunday.

Best Bet:Ā Morphetville R8 No1 Savapinski.

TAB odds $3.10

Good run first up and I thought the horse had a very good spring. Should be able to lead from barrier 7 and might be hard to catch.

id actually forgotten about it after the early scores thought it was going to be a walk over......

Haven't done form for today (as i have said my Autumn has finished) so no best bets but my thoughts on today's group races based on recollection of the exposedĀ form of the horses through Autumn.

You have to give Qualista a good chance today. Like Savacool, a horse that always runs well. Gets out in front and challenges other horses to catch it and i've said before on this thread i really like good horses that sit on the speed.

Similarly Sprightly Lass is terrific race horse that does not know how to run a bad race. Looks good value i reckon. Desert Lashes will surely test it though. A good horse.Ā Ā

I backed Savapinski last start and it looks to deserve favoritism. But perhaps a little short? I backed Jester Halo and odds last start and it blundered the start, which is always poor but worse when it is a horse that likes to sit on the speed. Came home against the pattern for a fighting 4th and if it gets away allright today has to be chance. Has 3.5kg pull in the weights from Savapinski and due a win.

Coming Through is really good horse and deserves favoritism in the Hollindale i would have thought but i would not be shocked if Oregon Day runs a bold race. Has been there or thereabouts this Autumn in four group races without winning (three very close seconds and last start 2.9 length 4th to Alizee). At each way odds.Ā

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.Ā  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.Ā  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.Ā  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.Ā

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.
