I watched Hawthorn's goals too.

1. 50m penalty

2. free kick Rioli (hit on shoulder during diving handpass straight after Oliver bump)

3. Turnover after Brayshaw was not paid an obvious 50m penalty when Hawthorn booted the ball away well after the whistle

4. Free kick in the square right after Bernie got his nose smashed.

5. 50m penalty

6.  Rioli, right after his dumping tackle on Weidemann

I think the scoreboard flattered Hawthorn. They shouldn't have gotten any of these.

It definitely did. In the end we were probably 7-8 goals better.

Every Weideman link up turned to gold.

It was significant how many goals he was involved with

I've mentioned previously how Robert Flower played even better when in the Victorian team because he was in the right spot and the ball actually got to him. Perhaps part of the improvement in Watts is something similar - as the players around him get better, his kicks which perhaps always went to the right spot now actually have the players at the other end who maximise their value

I remember clearly in that infamous Watts first game, he weaved past a couple and hit a fantastic 30m pass on his left foot hitting Jamar on the [censored] 15-20m out on a trivial angle. That could have been the enduring memory of Watts's first game, but you don't need me to tell you what Jamar did with the shot.

Chills down my spine when I hear the roar of the crowd again after that Stretch goal.

Anyone else still sneaking in a watch or two of this where possible?  I feel a bit silly given that it's now Wednesday, but I can't help it. If I had time I'd probably watch the whole replay again.

The hair on my arms and neck still stands up on the Stretch goal to get us back in front.

I've watched the last ten minutes 7-8 times I reckon

No shame in that.

I've watched all the goals a few times and watched the last quarter again last night. I think I will watch both again tonight if time permits .

I know the feeling re Stretch's goal. It was electric being there.

Clearly to get my next high we're gonna have to win a premiership.

Most likely I'll pass out at that point though.

I loved the Petracca goal where Hawthorn virtually took it backwards from the centre to our goal square themselves, then coughed it up.

Or the one from Frost to Gawn, just after Dunstall is talking up how hard it is to pick a way through Hawthorn's zone defence.

Watched for maybe the fifth time

I laughed again as that <noun: person who tosses> Derwayyyn, whose contributions to football commentary are restricted to inane comments, obvious observations, and calling out a succession of players names, at the boundary throw in prior to Hunt's opening goal, called "McEvoy, Jones, Hunt" when the ruck contest was if not break even then won by Gawnius Maximus.

One of my favourite bits out of many

Frost takes a mark at HB.

David King "This is where Hawthorn have been so good, their defensive grid, we don't celebrate it enough. I don't think enough is made of the defensive grid of the Hawks and just how effective it is"

Brad Johnson "Yes, from the aerial shot it is magnificent to watch Kingy"

Frost then runs around the man on the mark, don't argues Hodge, gains another ten metres and kicks to Gawn who goals
