At least we lose the Ninthbourne tag.

Nice...

Hunt sees he has no options, 4 bounces, sees he still has no options, gets nabbed, then looks around muttering "Come on," over and over again. Welcome to Melbourne buddy.

Well all things consdiered this game was almost lost at qurt time so good effort in the end against 3 prmship team and some iffy if not dodgy umpiring.

Bit harsh. We were on top for 3 quarters with some lapses in each quarter. You could see their experience taking hold.

In the game for 3/4, on top for parts of it, don't forget they got out to a big lead.

But we played dumb football, we kept reverting to dry football. We didn't adjust or kept moving it on. We played dumb football for most of the day.

Now, now.  No need to get angry.  I know facts can get you down, but you really are a waste of space here.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
