Viney Broken Leg 4-6 weeks

Featured Replies

It's just one guy with a relatively minor injury in the scheme of things - it isn't the end of the world and it certainly isn't anywhere near how bad our injury list has been in previous years!

Young player starts the season well, has injury which keeps him out for an extended period. This happens every year.

It had to be our turn for an injury this season. Every other team has seemingly had multiple injury concerns while we've been pretty much unscathed.

Not much we can do about it, hopefully someone else takes the reigns and steps up in his absence.

We did lose Petracca for the season.

Viney Trengove Petracca.

All fully fit you could build a serious midfield around these blokes..

Well luckily Viney will be back in 4-6 weeks and Petracca will be back next year.

This injury sucks, it sucks badly, because we are such an average team with such a horrible midfield and we can't afford to lose anyone with any sort of talent.

But I look at other clubs and their injury lists and I feel like we have been relatively lucky.

Of course we have. This year. So far.

Been doing a meditation retreat this week so I haven't heard any news for the last few days, just got out but I think I have to go back to the monastery after hearing this news.

The boy had 11 tackles with a broken leg!

Cudos young Jack, rest well.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
