Round 5: Predictions & General Discussion

Featured Replies

I'm finding the Adelaide GWS game to be disconcerting viewing. Both teams are wearing Adelaide jumpers (it seems)!

Seems like the ladder is taking more sensible shape now - with GWS, St Kilda etc not in the 8, Collingwood in and Adelaide moving back up.

The only surprises at this stage are Essendon, Sydney and Richmond - hands up who thought all three of those would be out of the 8 five games in?

Did not see Sydney's poor start coming.

Essendon losing to St Kilda was a shock, but both Essendon and Fremantle had to play off six day breaks after a 32-degree match in Perth; they were always going to struggle, and both lost.

Richmond is very average, so not surprised there, but they've had a soft draw so far and haven't done a lot with it.

Have to say that Cheney looks totally out of his league in this game.

can't believe they put him on hawkins - total mismatch

given roughead's no impact game they would have done better putting him on hawkins (at least for the last quarter)

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
