Redlegs League NON comp league. It has no bearing on the Comp leagues.

Dream Team - Promotion / Demotions Legends League (Div 1) Tridents League (Div 2) * Reglegs League (Div 3) * (If enough teams)

How promotions work for all leagues. Based on 'Total Season Points' scored for the season.

The Legends League will always remain a 'ranked' league based on Total Season Points (depending on the number of teams playing)

1: The highest 'Total Season Points' scored in a lower league replaces the team with the lowest 'Total Season Points' in the next highest league.

2: Grand Final winner replaces 2nd lowest 'Total Season Points' team in next highest league. (Regardless of Total Season Points Score)

3: If the highest season points scorer also wins the Grand Final then the GF R/Up replaces 2nd lowest scoring team (IF they have a higher season score)

a) Promoted team : Highest Season Points Score in a lower league.

b) Promoted GF winner to the next highest league. * Refer to No 3.

i) Demoted Team: Lowest Season Points Scored in their league.

ii) Demoted Team : 2nd Lowest Season Points Scored in their league. * Refer to No 3.

The idea is to keep the Legends league stable and not to keep changing everyone in the league based on one years score.

Riverlies will be built by playing the same players each year. The object is to keep the Legends League as strong as possible, without making wholesale changes every year. It rewards teams being consistent. It also keeps coaches in a league of equal ability making for closer games.

Hi Smithy, I do remember asking you when requesting confirmations prior to last season ending, if were playing this year, you were undecided. And you didnt put your name forward when the 2014 thread started up. No biggie.

You do not need to be invited to play, or join a league. You and anyone just need to post an expression of interest or confirm you want to be added to a league. The invite (league code) is sent via PM to make sure the correct players get into their correct league. I hope that clears up any confusion.

I'll probably call for confirmations near this seasons end from the existing players from all leagues to get an idea of how many leagues need to be reserved and it also helps getting a heads up on who will be returning in 2015.

The demonland "Group" league is open to anyone feel free to join the Group league

Seems there isnt a minor premership for the next 8 teams outside of the final 8.

Just a reminder to everyone the season tally counts until the GF is done and dusted. So keep playing as your season points tally will still count.

Also taking names for those wishing to play in 2015. I'll start to pencil in returning teams or anyone new wanting to join next year.

Please count me in for next season, the team is Beakyboys and we're in the Stynes league.

As an attendee at last Sundays debacle, Supercoach is all I have left (cue violin)

Pretty sad state of affairs when the only shining light to a season is playing fantasy footy. The misery ends on both fronts. for some next week.

In the meantime the 'big' one' is next week. Good luck to the following.

Legends League (Div 1) Jiagars V Watts Hogan On
Tridents League (Div 2) Farro's Demons V The Spooks
Redlegs League played the year short (12 teams). Fantasty didnt have auto-fill to make up the 18 teams. We didnt have enough numbers to fill the league and "guests' were invited to join. "Feather" whoever you are, was the best of the bunch.

:) You want the 2014 SC thread, 2 doors down on the left.

I have locked you in for SC 2015. And also Is Dom is good for Fantasy 2015.

Taking expressions of interest for DT 2015. Post your team name get in early. Helps me work out the teams that will play on next year. thx to all.

I dont want to jump the gun, but in your league we have 2 Guests playing off in the GF. At least I think both havent registered on DLand. You might be in line to get promoted into the Legends league if both remain guests,as I have no way to send them an invite for next year. Both had good scores, so perhaps they will sign up and make an account on here, if they havent done so already.

Fantasy doesnt show the ladders this week, if they dont get that back up I'm battling to gather all the season total pts for everyone.

Cellar Dwellers after a shocking season will be back again. This time sans 'diamond in the rough' picks.

The AFL Fantasy game this year was complete shyte. The functionality of the website and app was cumbersome compared to years gone by. Definitely a step backwards.

If there is another comp next year I'll be happy to go with the original VS Dream Team version.

I agree, Fanasty looked pretty, but it has major flaws. We may need a re-vote to move to Real DT until Fantasy get their act together. They have removed all the ladders and I cant get anyone's season pts tally for the year. I need that info to do the promtions etc. Real DT is the same as the original Dream Team.

After sending AFL Fantasy an email to restore the league ladders, they promptly did so. The results for the Grand Finals are listed below.

AFL Fantasy Demonland Legends Leagues (Div 1)
Jiagars 2204
Defeated
Mega Watts 2129
AFL Fantasy Demonland Tridents Leagues (Div 2)
Farro's demons 2166
Defeated
The Spooks 2154
AFL Fantasy Demonland Redlegs Leagues (Div 3)
No qualifiers (this league played short as Fantasy didnt have auto fill to make up for a short of teams. Also they didnt have a minor gf for those outside the 8.
Congrats to all the GF winners. Mega_Watts just failed in his quest to add a 2nd Flag next to his name.

I'll be back next year. A bit bitter that mega-fantasy-carnage-round cost me back-to-back flags. But that's part of the game!

Agree with moving to VS Dream Team unless AFL Fantasy massively ups their game.

The whole AFL Fantasy experience was woeful (website, app, live scores, etc.)

Edit: Congrats to Jiagars for the win! Better depth across his squad proved the crucial difference.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
