I find the spelling police annoying.

As long as I know who posters are on about , I don't care if they mix up a letter.

And to prove your point, I read your message as saying you wanted a "mate to play at its best".

(If that had been your intention we'd have to get the grammar police to correct "ist" to "ihs".)

Unless of course he meant "team"... but I'm sure he meant "meta"

tmae was team, so ist was its! :-)

Somebody on Facebook ripped out 'Jedah' and 'Benel' in the same message last year.

Ahhhh......now I know why Marc Kneeled and that guy who wore #22 fell out.

And had we drafted a Smith, he would no doubt get Smyth or Smythe.

That will always happen, libby :-)

We did draft a Smith, and people on this site got his name so mixed up, it kept appearing as 426. Even the club website seemed to get it wrong every week for a couple of years when listing his name...

I'm just waiting for the commentators to stuff up a call. Gee he's a BIG KENT.

Honest mistakes, are just that. Lets not be picky, there's a good place to improve.

Say No to attacking one another, or putting down one another, on a personal level.

If you want to attack on a professional basis re ones occupation, go ahead.

Agree- we are getting far to picky...

I think there was only one spoonerism from commentators on Rugby's Harmichael, which surprised me, so hopefully our new Superman will be OK.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
