Training - Wednesday 21st November, 2012

Sorry rpfc, didn't realise that telling someone they have something wrong with their brain and anachronism swearing was perfectly fine. In which case, José is brain dead and can GAGF. But I digress, back to training reports...

You're proving my point a little here...

Look JM doesn't need to say it but if that is 'abuse' then we need to be less sensitive.

Imploring someone to use their brains, to think, should not be seen as unreasonable.

It's a silly jump to make, that Hogan would be carrying 104kg as an 18 year old, and a little bit of thought would prevent the handful of illogical posts.

HTFU.

Look back and you'll see I was making a light hearted joke, regardless of age of target weight, hence the numerous exclamation marks. You started the lack of logic by getting all aggressive over a throw away humorous comment. Others read it as that and noted your overreaction. Good luck with that.

It is like trying to remember

So........any more training notes???

....if you ask will try and answer on specific questions/players/etc

Ok thanks...Jack Trengove and Grimesy, please?

Jack Trengove and Jack Grimes, they both look 'leaner' this year, and Trengove seems slightly taller, him and Jonesy have some serious competition in the running stakes now and finish at the back of their group in the gut running, but it is still the first group so the times are astounding....Grimes did not take part in the main activity,.....but didn't seem hampered, think with the injury issues he has had over the years assume he is on special program, same with Sylvia

Why is Col on a modified programme? Is he injured?

Hw definitely needs a higher level of fitness Hope he gets it.Anyone know?

Stupid question. Its pre-season...(he's always injured!)

So he is definitely injured or just cant/wont do the pre seasonIts a reasonable question He is either injured or not injured Right!

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Suns find themselves outside of the top eight for the first time since Round 1 with pressure is mounting on the entire organisation. Their coach Damien Hardwick expressed his frustration at his team’s condition last week by making a middle-finger gesture on television that earned him a fine for his troubles. He showed his desperation by claiming that Fox should pick up the tab.  There’s little doubt the Suns have shown improvement in 2025, and their position on the ladder is influenced to some extent by having played fewer games than their rivals for a playoff role at the end of the season, courtesy of the disruption caused by Cyclone Alfred in March.  However, they are following the same trajectory that hindered the club in past years whenever they appeared to be nearing their potential. As a consequence, that Hardwick gesture should be considered as more than a mere behavioral lapse. It’s a distress signal that does not bode well for the Queenslanders. While the Suns are eager to remain in contention with the top eight, Melbourne faces its own crisis, which is similarly deep-seated but in a much different way. After recovering from a disappointing start to the season and nearing a return to respectability among its peer clubs, the Demons have experienced a decline in status, driven by the fact that while their form has been reasonable (see their performance against the ladder leader in the Kings Birthday match), their conversion in front of goal is poor enough to rank last in the competition. Furthermore, their opponents find them exceptionally easy to score against. As a result, they have effectively eliminated themselves from the finals race and are again positioned to finish in the bottom half of the ladder.
