Wöuld Clark be a better captain?

How about you discuss the topic....your posts always seem to aim at distracting others from the topic. If not then stay out of it son.

BAM! Cop that he says! :)

I think the real question is: Why is there an umlaut above the 'o' in the thread title?

Wurde Clark eine bessere Kapitan sein?

I think a more pertinent question is: is it school holidays already..?

I wish :P

I think Trengove and Grimes are doing a fine job and will only get better as they mature and improve as players. Clark would do a good job too but we should be keeping things as they are in this area now.

Not another one....."Clark"

I wish :P

Hey there, YDE....I see you have a new avatar.

I'm sorry for you that Stef was traded, but I seriously think that the player in your new avatar will prove to be a real asset to our team.

Keep posting and holidays are nearly here - you doing exams??

Clark would certainly make a good captain. However they've made a commitment to the two Jack's who are quality young men, and will/should develop into outstanding captains.

I agree with ya Juice. Will their be another player vote on the leadership???? Spose only Neeldy can answer that.

Hang in there - you'll be right.

Exams are there to test your knowledge, your chance to show off what you know.

Year 12 next year? Brace yourself :) You'll need your footy to stop you going crazy!

All the best.

Did he?

I just laughed when I saw that.

Nice attempt, I guess.

Who cares let's talk footy

Talk footy? Hell, yeah....I want the season to start this week.

Just consoling YDE after his favourite player was traded.

I agree! Let the two Jacks remain as captains with Jones also being a leader through his position within the midfield group. Clarke is a great leader for the forwards and i think that Watt should join Frawley as a leader of the backs. Garland I am relaxed about however the other players have voted him in so I expect that his leadership is respected.

p.s. Maybe Dawes can join Clarke as a second leader of the forwards as we seem to have multiple leaders through the middle and down back! In the end, the players themselves will have an input.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
