Casey Scorpions v Williamstown

Just said on the abc that Neeld spoke to the commentators and was disappointed about what was written in the paper regarding cook and gysberts and that they are both still on the list. Can't remember the exact words, but they write not directly from Neeld anyway.

For those watching on tele - what do you make of the comments at half time about Cook?

The commentator (Donegan I think) said they had just spoke to Neeld, who said that he was very unhappy with the papers for reporting that Cook is finished at Melbourne.

Are reports of his demise greatly exaggerated?

probably not after this game !!!! :)

VFL is a joke, sooner we go stand alone the bettter

Silly comment. Casey finished top of the ladder mate. MFC have shafted them a little with the amount of senior listed players that they've pulled out.

Bit of payback for Fev last year! Really hindered Cook's development

Thats why when I say Gina Rhinehart is a fat ,disgusting and ugly excuse for a whale that I cannot be sued .

When the media reports falsities about players leaving they should be sued and made to pay compensation.

False reports like this can damage the actual team .

Hey KC, I've only seen 4 or 5 Casey games this year, but I've never seen them go backwards so much, what's the go with that you reckon?

Tim Smith,on the run, gets Casey's third goal late in the quarter. That goal saves them from having the lowest score of the season but they're still 40 points down.

Tim Smith kicks a goal for Casey.

Likely looking type, good size, hard at the contest, looks fairly young. What's his story anybody? KC? Worth trying, even just for preseason training?

Smith's having a good year but he's in inconsistent during games. It would probably be worth giving him a try in the pre season for a rookie spot.

Hence why it is a joke, the fixture is a shambles and we just pull all our players out once our season is over. I should have mentioned it was also be better for Casey.

Why would the fixture be any different if we weren't aligned?! Also, if MFC weren't in the finals we'd still pull out players. And I fail to see how minor premiers Casey would be "better off"?

THIS the competition is tainted it all comes down to what afl listed players are available

Not that it matters but the rain is coming down and is negating the wind advantage Casey would have otherwise had. The umps miss a free to the Scorps and the Seagulls kick the first goal of the final quarter.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
