As happy as I am Howe got off, it probably puts doubt on the small chance Cook would have got a shot.

Still think he should be played, might not do much, but the one thing about him is he seems to know how and where to lead, which would be really helpful in our forward setup and would take some pressure off our mids.

No, he hasn't kicked many goals but he has done a lot of work as a lead up player through the 50m arc. As of yet he has not shrivelled on the vine and Ireckon we will all be suprised during the NAB cup in 2013. This boy will make it as a forward - I am quietly confident.

Malonboy38 I have seen him play some good half games.

Plays well in the first half then the opposition switch a better defender to him and basically disappears out of the game.

Now I have not seen every game he has played this year.

But he just looks like a good skinny kid who will wilt when he comes up against the Men at AFL level.

I think it is a number of years away ( if ever ) before he will get a body big enough to cut it at AFL level as a KPF.

He is out of contract this year I think.

Yeah, he's probably not, but he can't play at Casey forever, needs a chance to show if he can do anything or if he's a loss, not like we're playing for finals so worth trying stuff.

Yeah fair call about GCS! Tho I reckon we'd be better to NOT experiment for that game seeing we have some chance of getting a win!

Alot of talk about floggings in this thread, May well happen but for the record I think people are getting a bit carried away about North. Their performances against Adelaide and St Kilda were impressive, but really, beating half of Carltons best team (who haven't been impressive since early season) and narrowly downing a Richmond team that the week before lost to Gold Coast and was hardly impressive against us isn't the greatest. They did lose to Port as well.... not saying we will even get close, but in terms of who will be going deep in finals I think North has been highly over-rated. If they make it I see them going out week one. Sorry to sound overly vindictive but I am very sick of bandwagon football media where a few wins in a row = quality team.

If he's not good enough then he can and will stay at Casey. I don't think we'll learn anything new by promoting him. You said forwards depend on what the midfield in front of them deliver, so isn't he going to be able to demonstrate more at Casey where the midfield is competent rather than trying to work with our horrid midfield?

Totally agree on all counts! I wasn't saying MFC mids do a better job, just saying it would be interesting to see how a regular Casey forward goes with our dodgy midfield.

Probably very borderline if he DESERVES an AFL shot, but I just think we have nothing to lose in giving him a game this year, we're very small chances of winning any games and no chance of finals so why waste the remainder on Dunn, Bate etc and having Rivers forward when we have a No.12 pick who hasn't played a game?

May not have the form to get a game, but at this point of the season and I just think, f#@k it, play anyone, we can't get much worse!
