Comparing Hogan to Carey !

That'll get BH masticating .

Haha he will love it. Yeah well thats what I've been reading. Very highly recommended. I haven't seen him play personally.

Most people are comparing Hogan to Carey & Martin to McLeod. Both are being touted as match winners.

Jesus. Big call.

Nah, to big a go home factor with Jesus

And he has got 'daddy issues' with him being controlled by his old man.

Massive cross to bear...

Imagine trying to fit THAT payment under the salary cap.....

Well Juda$ has already left with his 30 pieces of silver so we shouldn't have trouble retaining him

And he has got 'daddy issues' with him being controlled by his old man.

too true. if we picked him we'd get crucified by all the dl naysayers

too true. if we picked him we'd get crucified by all the dl naysayers

I am more worried about him. He won't come on quick enough for the 'wise' men, always hangs out with that insufferable entourage who see him as some sort of saviour, it just won't be a good fit.

And just when you think he has come back to life - he goes missing...

And sometimes when he flies into the air, he forgets to come back down.

I wonder if the Dorks still have that Form 4 for him, or would it have expired by now

Jesus. Big call.

Yeah but he was awesome playing for Jerusalem back in the day.

If we can get him out of retirement it'd be huge.

Hard as nails apparently.

Hard as nails apparently.

Yeah, but the minute things go wrong, they'll crucify him.

Back on topic, being involved in a trade for one of these picks is the only way we can avoid having to use our first pick on JV, whether it lands with us or not.

We also have to hope like hell that we end up 3rd last or lower.

Otherwise we'll have no hope.

Otherwise we'll have no hope.

In a nutshell.

Obviously I understand the conflicting emotions involved and the insanity of "hoping like hell" for a bottom 3 finish.

Tell GWS$$$$$ to get stuffed... all clubs should say NO to any 17yo's and push them into 2013 draft. Why give GWS a boost with swapping kids they have no hold on but a right to swap

(can they prelist Martin & Hogan !!... if no one bids/offers)

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

Melbourne wrapped up the AFLW home and away season with a hard-fought 14-point win over Geelong at Kardinia Park. The result secured second place on the ladder with a 9–3 record and a home qualifying final against the Brisbane Lions next week.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Geelong

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
