It's fair to say that opinion and proof are not the same. You show a lot of the former and precious little of the latter.

Touche Bob. Its clear that some people cannot differentiate between opinion and fact and they are the last to realise it.

I am too serious ..... AND I take too much acid?!?!

It's like arguing with French soldiers in the Holy Grail.

LOL. An apt image

way too much hand-wringing over this issue, move on people

Heartily agree.

I have no doubt that Scully's a supreme athlete. I also think it likely that he will be, at the very minimum, a very, very good AFL player. It's his character that always concerned me. From a distance, he seems to be weirdly unemotional for a kid of his age. And I think it's too convenient to say he's 'professional', because quite frankly I don't think his conduct and approach over the past two years was particularly professional. Perhaps you can lay that at the feet of his agent/advisers, but I would love to see how a psychiatrist would profile his personality type. Jack Trengove on the other hand - he's got emotional intelligence in spades. And ability. And love of club. And about everything else we could possibly have hoped for ...

This is one of the best posts regarding $cully I've read for a while.

Why stop talking about this? There still is a lot of residual anger and theres not much else to talk about at this time of year. If people are sick of posts about TS then they should not read these threads or bother replying. 2000+ views and over 70 replies indicates this is still a hot issue. Anything thats reported about him in the media is a fair reason to give him yet another serve.

I will stop talking about it when $cully retires!!

The guy just WON the time trial.

Beat the ENTIRE list in January, only months after leaving our club where for half a season he did not play because of a knee problem.

Sorry but i find that very suspect in so many ways as should all at the MFC.

Hand wringing at its worst.

The Club has sensibly realised that he is gone and has moved on unlike the those that malignantly fester on the past.

The Time trial was only 3 days ago, hardly in the past!!

Hand wringing is not the issue at all.

It's the ongoing murky waters

Scully has left MFC over 4 months ago. He's gone.

Angst over an out of season time trial result in relation to matters done and dusted last year is trivial in the extreme.

The only thing murky is your need to carry on poiintless melodrama.

If you think the whole $cully situ is a trivial melodrama, fine think that.

It was you that had a $cully avatar with "For Sale" on it all last year! (which i did find quite humorous)

It is now given he is gone. I am at a loss what will achieve given with the handwringing.

So what. The avatar was so blatantly tongue in cheek that even you claim to have got the joke. Well done

.However, I think Scully is also a looser. Money doesn't buy the qualities of life .However, it helps unbelievably and he still has to prove himself. One geeat game of 42 possessions does not make him a $6 million dollar man.He has great weaknesses . His kicking on both feet is atrocious. And I agree his knee is very questionable

I am not sure why you raised me using the avatar in the first place with an exclamation mark as if it was in some way relevant to the continuing angst over Scully. But thanks for getting the joke

Loosen up Rhino...it's called humour.

I can't believe we're still going on about $cully. The Kid was deceitful, selfish and greedy with no concept of doing the right thing by his club and his mates.

He goes to GWS with the knee of a 80 year old, we get the same compo package Geelong got for Ablett (2 time premiership hero, brownlow medallist, MVP etc) and most importantly enough room in our salary cap to lure a potential star key position player in Mitch Clark to the club!

How was Scullys decision to take the money and run not a big win for the MFC?

I agree.

I'm more interested in how their other superstar signings went in the time trial.... Like what about Brogan and Cornes?

I can't believe that someone opens up a post yesterday afternoon about an ex. player.

Then we proceed to have 91 posts about the mongrel.

Give it a rest. If you did it on Facebook he would be a "Millionaire" by now.

Oh yeah he is isn't he?

....and may I note that you, and I, are amongst that huge number who have read and posted on this "ongoing matter of interest".

What will be most interesting to me will be to see if his degenerative knee problem is miraculously cured by the fresher air and beautiful climate of Rooty Hill, (or wherever that Godforsaken hole is situated).

Only time will tell whether we have avoided the poisoned chalice, and been well compensated for it!

As noted earlier, running 3km in a straight line is very different from a twisting, turning, stopping, accelerating, jumping game of AFL. On the other hand nobody in their right mind would ever again believe one word that this $$#@%^&&*$$$ said, so there may well have been absolutely nothing wrong with his knee all last season (except maybe bruising from kneeling in awe before Vlad, or is that the other way around).

And others have also noted, one Brock McLean also excelled in this aspect of training. Was he the quickest when it came to match day?

GO DEMONS !!!!!!

C'mon WYL don't be so bitter. Lets wait until he plays to see how that knee goes. Premierships aren't won in January.

I am not Bitter at all S.D....seriously i just find the whole saga fascinating....This is like an HBO Drama series..I just want to find out what is the real story, and when situ's like this happen...(Beating the entire list in a 3k run) it just adds to the intriuge.

Once the "Lucky Phil" story surfaced and Vlad called it Genius, i knew anything was possible...and it aint finished yet.

WYL, by the 'entire list' do you mean that huge bunch of 17-18 year olds who have never completed anything but 2 nights a week of school footy training? Come on man, he hasn't out-done Steve Moneghetti!

No he has not....But he has done a hell of a lot more than he did for us in 2011.

Tom couldn't even say goodbye to us!

Lets look at it this way.......if we had Tom, we wouldnt have Micth. I think our need for a big bodied forward is a lot higher than an outside skillful midfielder dont you think?!

Absolutely...i am glad he has left, i just find it fascinating and deceitful as to how he left and i will continue to do so..

That and the fact that the AFL can fully turn a blind eye to it....A major reason why we must do our utmost to not be in serious debt again.

Taking Handouts from our leaders will burn at some point

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
