Fat control to major sheeds

Fat control to major sheeds

Take your aggro pills and put your helmet on

(Ten) Ground control (Nine) to major Tom (Eight)

(Seven, six) Commencing countdown (Five), engines on (Four)

(Three, two) Check ignition (One) and may gods (Blastoff) love be with you

This is Fat controller to major Tom, you've really made the grade

And the papers want to know whose Dad you'll get next year

And Eddie's gone all weird

Now it's time to leave Blacktown if you dare to play a game

This is major Sheeds to Fat control, I'm stepping through the door

Oh no all the stars are floating away

And the boys have said they won't stay

Here am I sitting in a S#*! can far from AFL land

Tom's got all the loot there's nothing I can do

I'm past one hundred thousand years of age, I'm feeling very thick

And I hope Gubby knows what to do

Tell Sculls I love him very much, even though we have never met

Fat control to major Sheeds, all the cap is spent on Fill's pies

Can you hear me, major Sheeds?

Can you hear me, major Sheeds?

Can you hear me, major Sheeds?

Can you...

Here am I sitting in S#*! can in NRL land

No money left for the boys and there's nothing I can do.

Nothing I can do …..

Nothing I can do ….

Oh Tom not you too…..

(edit: fix my poor knowledge of where GWS is based)

Nicely done :-)

We should get David Costabile (aka Gale Boetticher) to sing that song in front of a series of space-related images. That would really get our message through.

Very clever stuff Robbie. I like the connection between Sheedy, the Martians and GWS. All totally fanciful.

It would be a good idea not to ask me to sing!

(other than a grand old flag because I dont care who hears me sing that, hopeful i sing it more often next year.)

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
