Motlop

Would we consider taking him if he nominated for the draft? Can he be a rookie pick? So talented, but has had his fair share of criticism for behavioral issues.

If a new coach, new club, new situation rejuvenated Daniel Motlop then he is a very worthy pick up.

His talent is undeniable.

However the structure is a worry due to the lack of a team mindset as well as a lack of defensive pressure.

No.

His head is not in the right space.

The dees of old would recruit this type in the hope of a new attitude.

If 3 different coaches at North could not get him better why do we need to try.

Keep the spot for kid who is busting a gut to play.

Absolutely not,

Selfish lazy talented cat who is a considerable off field burden.

We wasted time with one Motlop before. Not another.

Spot on Old Dee.

That's a bit harsh RR - we didn't have much option when we listed Shannon (was obviously after and trade/draft/preseason draft period, so while we wish we never had to sign him up, you can understand why we did.

In response to the OP, I'm not sure how many more mid-sized forwards we need, we have surplus, and some.

No way, wrong attitude, he's finished

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
