I heard a caller on SEN this morning suggest this trade:

- GWS gets their man Daisy

- Collingwood gets Scully

- Melbourne get Malthouse + 2 picks from GWS

It would never, ever happen but would could you stand seeing Scully in the filth for Malthouse and 2 compo picks in our camp?

MM is not a player why should he be included in anything.

How about GWS gets Daisy - Collingwood gets nothing.

How about Melbourne gets Malthouse - Collingwood gets nothing

How about Scully stays at Melbourne - Collingwood gets nothing.

I heard the call also the guy could hardly put two words together

+1 - when we get, and the filth get nothing...sign me up! LOL

Umm...what is wrong with this post?

1. You cannot trade coaches for players or picks

2. Mathouse has "categorically" denied he will coach next year

3. Thomas is about to re-sign with Collingwood

If you think Malthouse would say anything else then you are challenge enough

Interesting quote by Eddie

"That's 100 per cent correct – not signed yet, but close enough," McGuire said.

in the Herald Sun Here

I know it's probably is all done and dusted but until he signs there is Hope for GWS...isn't there...lol

Oh well one can Dream! demon_wink.gif

This deal HAS NOT BEEN THOUGHT OUT because how on earth are Collingwood going to match GWS money for Scully? He would get more staying at Melbourne.

Rates up there in great SEN calls with the guy who rang this morning to say Sam Mitchell to GWS was 100% confirmed. Ignoring the fact he's under contract...

Do we need a thread for every dumb rumour off the radio? I'd rather a thread dedicated to Chris From Camberwell and the guy who rang up and cried after the Richmond game.

Agree with this.

I love Chris from Camberwell's passion on SEN

Driving home from The G I also heard the caller crying about Melbourne's effort V The Tiger's

In a strange sort of way he 100% expressed how most of us feel watching The Dee's over the past 5 years.

2012 simply has to be the start of the upward spiral in our history.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
