I believe they colour them in. The smarter sandgropers can actually stay inside the lines. Well so I've heard.

I can report here, after having an interesting discussion with someone who is in a very strong position to know the whole Bombers story, his view is we will not see any infraction notices for the Bombers.

The reason is as many of us have posted, no records, no proof of who took what and when.

It would therefore be nearly impossible to make a case stick. You could say , no, I took vitamin C and nothing else.

It is going to make the Saads and Lees of this world very angry I would imagine.

Also mentioned that the AFL would be very happy if Hird never coached again.

Interesting stuff and you blokes know more about this than me. Some may say the "no records scenario" could long term end up a far more serious issue than the very dodgy/perhaps illegal administering practices themselves. I haven't explained myself too well here, but if they get a no sanctions reward for their effort,s it would seem odd and what message would it send?

Would not seem right to me.

Not just the message but it would create a dangerous precedent and make the work of anti doping authorities all the more difficult and Dank will end up with Ned Kelly-like hero status among many.

WADA is all over this and will ensure that the most thorough process of investigation takes place and results in infraction notices.

Surely lack of evidence on individual players would not stop penalties. It just mean the Club itself will receive a high penalty.

Which ever way you look at it MessyDrugs is screwed.

In Addition to any penalty that they will get the following should be imposed for poor record keeping:

  1. Bitty (BBO) should be appointed as the player guidance councillor
  2. OD Fitness Coach
  3. BB as Jumper designer
  4. DL dietician
  5. WJ to ensure everything they do is recorded on the correct form and entered in the correct data base
  6. RBB as Club President
  7. Biff as the Entertainment Coach (he has the Ladies for the job)
  8. DC as the Senior Coach
  9. Moon would be the Director of High Performance and Bitty's BOSS
  10. Jazza as the Clubs Bookkeeper
  11. TBF as their logo / Avatar Designer

After the above appointments for the next 10 years MessyDrugs will never be the same again. As with MFC running the place they can only improve from the poor culture they currently have.

Not me, the person who told me and he should know, though it is his personal opinion and he is not in ASADA.

We will see.

If my mate is right and there is no evidence of who took what and when, how do you propose infraction notices can be issued?

I don't believe WADA or ASADA can sanction without evidence.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
