fitness base has been instigated at a rate of every other club , of which we were 3 years behind

got 4 hard bodied players to cover gaps until junior softer boys from draft can put on muscle and play against men in ressies for the first time in thier careers .no more throwing them to the wolves

has accepted we may lose games but will not relent on certain issues with players

fd has been trying to get out of ceo overshadow for 18 months maybe new ceo has aluded to this already

recruitment has been talked about for 18 months and now the fd gets a clear call at the player required

So far these changes have been spectacularly successful we are now worse than we were two years ago and last year.

What will next year be 19 th?

I purposely made the 19th comment.

It was meant to show we could be worse than this year.

The current course IMO is simply not working I see not one improvement since the end of 2011.

The scoreboard is the only honest thing in the AFL

Jazza believe me I am not looking for a scape goat.

But there is no denying the spot we currently find ourselves in at present.

From 2011we have been progressively worse each year

we must be on the longest J curve in history.

I don't doubt it is going to take a long time to cure our current position

but doing nothing is not a course we can take between now and the end of 2013.

Members, supporters and Sponsers must have some sense of hope for the 2014 year.

Right now there is none

thats the panic button mate.

this spot came from many poor decisions, the main ones were the last 6 games 2011

a decision was made to bring our fitness levels up to standard. this was a fd primary goal. its being achieved

dont expose young players to gorillas and break thier mental spirit, this is being achieved. re 4 hard bodied older recruits

i would say 2011 was worse and the members sponsors were got back with the rebuild promise

ive seen the team this year try corridor footy and fail. then change to boundry. believe me this change during a game is hard to switch for any team, but weve done twice. lost but we done it. thats a good achievment for a footy team.

younger recruits learning thier trade in the ressies and building up bigger frames . this is a terrific implementation of short term loss, long term gain.

the murdering of the ball coming off half back will be sorted out when you have clark dawes , they HOLD the ball well in the f/line

and give players something confident to kick to.

see how the team will look when clark. watts, jamar trenners and grimes are back. you will be much more supportive and look forward to matches

remember big fella its not all doom and gloom. promise ya get on board and enjoy the swings , theres nothing else you can do

Had a very small slice of carrot cake today, forgot how good it is. It is even better than the great banana cake.

Perhaps the bananas got done for peptide abuse and were banned for two years? Otherwise, the sky really is falling ...

Is that why it is so grey today?

Fear not, I am off to the GC for a few days and I know a place that makes great banana smoothies.

Oh thank God you had me every concerned!

Can't find any banana cake, might have to make do with some banana bread and a banana smoothie.

Now if only our team could regain theirs'.

Get some bananas into them before the game to fire them up, perhaps? Knowing our lot, they will probably come out and play like B1, B2 and the Rat in a Hat

Having just read some of the other threads on Demonland, I am extremely grateful that this one has not descended to the nastiness of a few of the others.

There is still a place for a laugh and a discussion on football and our club without being attacked.

Spot on Redleg

I don' want to appear a smart arse but i have just got home after a great 24 hours.

Baby sitting overnight my two and half year grand daughter never ceases to bring a smile to my face.

Then off to see Uni Blacks play De la salle in the top of the ladder clash.

Blacks won by 11 points, close game and by Amos standards a good one.

Nice to go to a football match were I have the belief that my team has a good chance of winning.

My wife and I had a good day meeting a couple of friends, couple of drinks in Carlton on the way home.

On the way home she said to me "nice to go to a games and enjoy yourself!"

Next comment was are you going to another dees game this year?

Hmm very good question

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round.
