Good backline and forward line, but the Casey midfield stocks look a bit thin on the ground at the moment.

Good to see Luke Tapscott named.

Looks like he should be back in the senior side after the bye.

The 23rd player for Casey Scorpions would be one of the Hector twins from the Gippsland Falcons. Both of them are mid sized players who go all right. They made the initial Vic Country Under 18 squad for the national championships and I think Hayden has played for VC in an early round so my guess is that this one is Damien.

The 23rd player for Werribee Tigers is related to the SEN commentator.

Good work out for Max Gawn against Hamish McIntosh.

North have Hansen and Tarrant in the VFL but apparently Jack Watts took a long time to come on ...

Didn't Brad Scott once say they prefer not to hide their young players....?

You've guessed wrong. It's Hayden Hector and he'll be wearing # 69.

Reasonable quarter into the wind. Scorps missing Warnock.

Any idea what's wrong with Warnock?

How's my boy Tappy doing?

Werribee Tigers 6.9.45

A late goal to Max Gawn after a mark in the goalsquare..

If you want me to describe the game think of Melbourne last night. Werribee are dominating the ruck through McIntosh and the clearances through a much slicker midfield.

Handball and decision making generally poor.

You would think some players would be attempting to get promoted but there's no purpose or sense of urgency in their play. Maric is the best of an otherwise ordinary bunch.

So they're using the same game plan then :)

2024 Player Reviews: #11 Max Gawn

Champion ruckman and brilliant leader, Max Gawn earned his seventh All-Australian team blazer and constantly held the team up on his shoulders in what was truly a difficult season for the Demons. The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns.
