Really?

Why couldn't Hancock just use white writing on the home jumper like Primus did?

Do you reckon the orange part of their logo would stand out on our red jumper?

That is an issue, but a big slab of white blocking out much of the jumper isn't the answer.

But it is. And it will continue to be. Because they are paying top $$$.

Correct. Hancook are paying so they want there logo prominent, as it appears elsewhere on Billboards, cars, adverts etc.

Geez... come on, peeps!!! Why are we discussing such a trivial matter?!?

It's a sponsor and it's on the jumper and that's that.

Exactly. The club dont have an issue with it, so why does anyone here? Trivial is exactly right. Must be the off season!

I would prefer we didn't have a big white rectangle on our jumper, but as others have said, it doesn't really matter.

Also want to add that this isn't a new thing that sponsors have done on our jumpers.

Did anybody have a problem with LG? Same thing. And many before them.

The sponsors need their logo to stand out so people can actually see it!!

Hence the white backing. End of story. Get over it. Let's move the f*** on.

hmmm, I guess if there is any truth to this then I'll have to wait until I see it but it does sound a little American to me. I'm curious none the less.

More Italian. The Serie A clubs have stars on their jumpers which represent the number of Scudetti they have won...although you only get 1 star for every 10 championships. Only 3 clubs have stars and only one has multiple stars (Juventus).

I'd suggest this is where the idea came from.

International teams also have a star on their shirt for every world cup won.
