Jeez I hate losing to North.

Hold on a second; amend that.

Jeez I hate losing.

cant wait to see tapscott, fitzpatrick (insert draft and trades here ) to play next year

and Jurrah with a FULL season. Exciting stuff.

Playing Bate and Newton was a selection blunder.

Think Bailey was outcoached today.

I agree- we went into this match down several players because of injury however- several just didn't do the job. Lost it at the selection table- Bail should have played as a tagger on Harvey. He killed Jones- killed us all day. Should have put Scully or McKenzie on him right from the start. We carried far too many-Garland put in a shocker and has been carried for weeks now.Newton is not up to it.We know what we need now- so up to us to draft again well.Need a fast crumbing back- similar to Harbrow at Bulldogs- another tall flexible player similar to a Ben Reid at Collingwood- a bulked up young tall- similar to a Chris Dawes at Collingwood -a ruckman(as stated several times- Mitch Clark would do me fine and a 189/190 bulked up centreman -similar to a Scott Thompson to get it out of the guts.Trengove maybe the one- but needs to get into the gym straight away.A HUGE pre season is required. Also changes required to our football dept. Like to see a new forward coach and a full time ruck coach.Wouldn't mind Dean Laidley becoming our Director of Coaching as well..

im guessing Ricky Petterd wil have a full off season to get ready for 2011

cant wait

He said in the function after the game he could've almost played this week

Bad luck to the Dees. Was a ripping game to attend!!! A very open affair where both teams had momentum at various stages of the game.

Fair to say.. .Corey Jones won North the match and good on him.

North have had our number over the years so to get within 10 points was a fair effort. We had a 10 point lead in the 4th.

Can I just say little Tom Scully's hip and shoulder to lay out the solid Levi Greenwood (who had a career best game mind you) was AMAZING. The kid has come a long way in one season.

It speaks volumes of Scully when he can still run out games till the end of the season in his first year. Absolute professional athlete who I can see leading the charges into a grand final in 5 years time :)

What was the injury to Jonesy?? did anyone see it.

Was a crucial factor in the result tonight

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
