Scully is a gun. My god he is going to be amazing!

Apart from that, this quarter makes me want to burn my eyeballs with chlorine.

Horrible horrible decision making and use of the ball, which is pretty much the same old story every time we get on a plane and land in Adelaide.

We started like a house on fire, and kicking at goal cost us a very healthy lead. We are in general playing much better than the scoreboard reflects, and are getting enough of the ball and enough inside 50 entries, but we cannot make the most of our opportunities.

10 points is a nothing lead, and we are absolutely in this game.

P.S.- really good to see Watts take the big hit. Now he just needs to GO FOR GOAL!

lets just hope port run out of legs having just 3 on the bench.... then again MFC have Morton, so i guess its even!!!

So what's the joy with the morton bashingz sure his kicking is off today, but he certainly gets to the right places and has taken some really good contested marks. Now he just has to get the kicking part right, which he can do...

Some stats:

Jamar just 1 handpass, but doing well in terms of hitouts.

Bennell 2 and 2.

Bail 3 and 3, didn't hear his name once in the second quarter.

Jones 2 and 4

Watts 4 and 0, but 3 marks, a goal, and a great effort to wear a bump that got us a goal.

On the other side,

Bruce 9 and 13 (Cornes went to him and slowed him down)

McDonald 9 and 7 (got nice words from Wakelin)

Dunn 10 and 1 with a goal

Moloney 4 and 10

Who is playing on Boak and Gray?

I actually think Bail has been OK.

Dunn clearly our best at half time. Step up Bradley Green!

Turns it over far too much. Of his 7 handpasses in the first quarter I reckon he turned 3 of them over.

Poor decision making though, a few turnovers.

Not sure, I know Jones is on Pearce. I'd hazard a guess that McKenzie or McDonald have one of those jobs. Maybe Bail.

Green playing up the ground. Should be forward.

Edit: Garland's on Gray.

This thread is up and down like the Titanic!!

Some kicking errors severely costing us, otherwise we'd be 5 goals in front.

Not some of the doom & gloom here. Hopefully we can use the ball better and win this game.

Go Dees!!

Am only listening but seems like were being wasteful and too cute. Players oughtn't be out there if they're going to squib their jobs. No place for scaredy cats... Ffs kick it. Even more convinced Morton needs to be moved on if he can't turn ability into a game.

Go Dees!!

What's disappointing is a lack of intensity, far, far too many turnovers, and Port being allowed to do as they please at times through the middle.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
