thanks to jones for backing my statement up

same errors each week

Little harsh on Moloney, think he is safe, one of few hard nuts that go in and get their own ball!

moloney = goes missing

need to be ruthless

reckon bail, blease, tapscott etc wont go past him?

The real problem is we don't get enough of our own

True, definitely true. And the ones we do get are often wasted because either there are too many Fremantle defenders meaning our forwards have no chance, or the disposal is a shocker.

But we'd at least be a little closer if there was some midfield pressure preventing Fremantle from easing the ball forward.

well when he plays in the wet let me know. because subi is bathed in sunshine.

Wasn't it raining a bit pre-game?

Those players have about three games between. One is still playing Casey twos. And im not knocking these guys but seriously.

Was for about 20 mins the commentators said.

You've been asked twice if you've watched us play this year. I'm gonna be the third person and tell you Moloney's top five best and fairest this year.

we are a [censored] side that has only beaten other [censored] sides.

So the two Collingwood games and the Bulldogs game count for nothing?

Calm down. This is bad, but it's not the apocalypse.

Another massive embarrassment. Sorrymto join the throng, butmwith this team, on paper, we should be much better than this. Bailey needs to lift. Yes, I'm saying it now, rather than late next year when it's too late. Something needsmto be done before this crop of talented kids turns into the next bunch ofMelbourne also-rans. I'm filthy on this performance. Filthy.

Internet went out, and Freo piled on three behinds...and a goal from a 50

Fremantle 9.7.61

Melbourne 2.5.17

That's it.

I'm done.

Aaron Davey just put the final nail in the coffin for me today.

Poor effort Davey, you could see Bartram telling him to 'settle down'. From a leader, and potential captain to some I would expect better.

Bennell grabs number two

Fremantle 9.7.61

Melbourne 3.5.23

This F****** team is F****** terrible. Every week we see a different melbourne team come to play. One week we come to play the next we don't. Shocking

top 5 is our b& f is fine and is a great clubman

where is he today? he is in the prime of his career, a leader and several times this year has gone missing.

i understand the passion but his good is good, but his poor is way too poor

should be better for a 25 year old so called top 5 b&f midfielder

been to every melb game this year btw

[That was [censored] umpire - simply NOT in the back.

Davey was wrong to dispute but the decision was wrong wrong wrong.

Great comeback Bennell.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
