Senior players... always ALWAYS disappointing.

Has Moloney touched the ball today?

Two touches to Moloney

Goal to them after a 50metre given away by Rivers. Disgraceful from a senior player when we've worked back into the game.

moloney and jones wont be in the side in 2 years

Silly by Watts, I do wonder what goes through his brain sometimes, was always going to be a freekick over the shoulder like that.

Long goal to Mundy...[censored]

Fremantle 5.0.30

Melbourne 1.2.8

This is ridiculous, we have davey, bennell and Jurrah, and not one of them around to pounce on that loose ball in the forward line.

bruce not havin a ripper either

Nice deliberate there from our captain.

and what a captain he is too, leading from the front with this pathetic disposals

Whenever Bruce goes near it...for a "leader" his panic under pressure is absolutely pathetic. Last season, please.

It's just a disease with us travelling interstate. We have never had the unity and steel of a strong team to win interstate. We were pathetic under Daniher when we were finalists and it continues to this day.

To be this predictably bad interstate is an indictment on our club regardless of where we sit on the ladder.

Bruce is pathetic. Deliberate out of bounds because he has no confidence in his kicking. Bailey is playing a man from behind play. So i expect rebound after rebound by Fremantle from our forward line. Dunn is getting killed by Mundy.

Pavlich misses from 55

Fremantle 5.1.31

Melbourne 1.2.8

why can't we use our best kick to kick in the ball?

or better still kick it in quick?

Fark.

We just keep gifting the ball to them...

My brain is about to explode out of my head. FRUSTRATING rubbish, as per almost every first quarter we've had this year.

Our midfield is getting torn a new one. Our backline has lost the plot and we have no forwardline again. Awesome stuff.

not cool to watch this

someone has to get our starts right

Ballantyne misses

Fremantle 5.2.32

Melbourne 1.2.8

Have a look at the players tweets on twatter

they think they are on holiday as opposed to a business trip

endemic of our culture to be weak mentally, if bailey can overcome this then we may be headed somewhere

melb has no idea how to spread and create space

embarrasing

Back to basics Melbourne.

Man up, clean disposals, and dont continue to handball into contests!!

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
