Bate kicks number two...in behinds, then holding the ball goes our way and Sylvia goals

Melb $50 - 1

hmmmm

Note: I'm watching Foxtel - just bits.

Now, I'm going to go against the grain a bit here, but I thought the 2nd quarter was pretty good. A couple of soft goals to freo gave them the quarter by a goal.

I thought our players showed run, and tried to take the game on. The frees are against us 2:1; our tackles are up 50:37. we must keep this up.

Also, Jurrah is not worth his spot and it looks like Watts has been given a defensive role - no problem with that, but why when we are playing away?

Finally, Rhino and others are sick of the "can't walk the talk". Me too.

FFS, all the players and coaches should just shut it, no comment other than "we expect to win this week". NOTHING MORE.

I smell a Jurrahcane

I would pay a lot of money to see what Bailey said in those rooms at H/T.

Jurrah - A simply delightful goal.

Davey you ripper! Happy Jamar decided not to attempt that checkside...

i declare this to be: CHAMPAGNE FOOTBALL.

Bailey must have got a rocket up the boys at the break. Outstanding start to the third. Keep it up!

This is better this is the real demons i know!! 7 points! Mental application has been addressed!!!!

Game high margin was 44 points at the 26 minute mark of the second quarter

Im not getting excited for the win.

Im just happy we're putting in a contest.

Melbourne have gone from $45 odds to $4.90... I hope the boys do not see this otherwise it will be down hill...

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

Melbourne’s slow starts have been a troubling theme for a while. Against the Suns, they started slowly in both of their games, they trailed by 5.7.37 to 0.1.1 at quarter time at Peoples First Stadium in Round 16. This season, the story has remained the same and if the Demons fail to shake off this issue against the unbeaten Gold Coast Suns, they will be in serious danger of capitulating once again in their Easter Sunday showdown.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
