That's exactly how I see it.

leave as is... I would hate to play off for the 4pts to lose it. I'LL TAKE THE 2 PTS.

Look at soccer. A game which has multiple draws each week in inter-club competition matches. They only use extra time and the penalty shoot out for finals and tournaments like the WC don't they? Why on earth is there all this hysteria about a home and away draw in AFL when it only happens a couple of times a year? A finals match absolutely requires a winner. A home and away match doesn't and a draw is the result of the two teams combined efforts. Don't manipulate something that doesn't require it.

Rugby League has it right in my opinion and the crowds love it! Golden point - certain amount of time each way, first to score wins and if there is no score within that amount of time (which I doubt would happen in AFL), keep it a draw.

Keep as is. 2 points to each team. That is why they call it a "draw"... Happens rarely.

How can anyone assure that all the players preferred extra time, is beyond me. You don't speak for "all" the players.

A Draw and 2 points is a legitimate result.. has always been.. leave it. would be more arbitrary and unfair to have it swing on the basis on a golden goal or shootout etc.
