Get voting to see Greeny roll Carlton in the 2000 QF. A great day for the Dee's.

"Melbourne Demons v Carlton, qualifying final, 2000

The lethal left boot of one-time Manchester United target Green has been in hot form this season. It's a decade since the Tasmanian burst onto the scene in an incredible year for the red and blue boys. In a barnstorming finish in the qualifying final, Green kicked four goals as the Dees lit up the MCG and Melbourne rolled Carlton."

Yes, and guess what happened next? Well easily rolled North in the prelim, and came up against some Essendon thuggery in the Grand where Greeny himself was taken out together with i believe troy simmons. Never had a chance after that.

Lessons, lessons for the future. We will need the hard nuts like Maloney,Jones,Frawley, Jamar, and eventually Tappscott, Scully and Trengove and possibly in a few years Gawn. Toughen up boys, you will need it in the real stuff.

The Ox's bag of 9 against the Swans was showed a few weeks back for memory.

Allen Jakovich kissing his Brother after a goal in '93. Best Single moment i can remember.

Yep, that was my first game, and was hooked on the Dees after that. We were down by 4 goals to the reigning premiers, then Jako went nuts, kicked them from everywhere and we ran over the top of the Weagles. Try as I might, I've never been able to find a copy of that game.

Still got it on VHS.

I was always taught to share :P

Voted, I want to hear the roar of the crowd while hearing the commentary team gasping 'The rookie... The rookie!!' again as we romp home!

We might have to work out an arrangement, I to have never been able to find that game-and would seriously like to watch it again. When Jackovich was on he was the Greatest footballer ever-But those moments were very Random!!!

That game in '93 was a classic.

RE:1993 Melb V West Coast - Allen kisses Glen

I dont think the entire game exists anywhere - from what I remember the game was only captured as a news item and some of that footage was used on the "93 - that was the season that was" video.

If you do have the entire game or most of - $$ your way for a copy.

Acacia etc. I do not have the entire game but I do have bits of the game.

As I do from seasons 91 & 92. I can't quite remember how games were televised back then but I used to tape anything and everything I could find, not to mention all those hours spent scrap booking.

I love the 91 tape, goes through games such as the 20 goal win over Fitzroy (a week after we kicked 2 for the entire game over in Perth)& of course the Jako game against Nth amongst others.

I am far from a tech savvy person and of course am not willing to part with any of these items, but if there is a way I can share, I am more than happy to do so.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
