How good was it!

Walking to the 'G in rain and dark clouds... anticipating a winnable game. The roar when Trengove got his first AFL goal, and the bigger roar when he came to the boundary.

It got louder when Junior kicked the goal to put us in front. Bennell on fire in the last qtr. Euphoria when Jones sealed it. Hearing the siren and Melb song, drowned out totally by the clapping. Sun shining and red and blue everywhere on the ground and in the stands. A miserable bunch in white walking quickly & dejectedly departing our arena.

Every second car on the way home with red & blue scarves fluttering. Great to see those cobwebs finally blown away.

Now savoring how good our backline was, and the tackling and intensity. It was a good day!

How good our back line IS.

I was happy as a pig in crap when the siren went, we all know how good the boys played last week and for a brief few minutes it looks as though we could not put them away. BUT McDonald and Jones corrected my thoughts...

What a day, love seeing the Red & Blue out in the crowds today, even if it was only 23K today.

Would have LOVED to hang my scarf out the window, HOWEVER they ran out of members scarfs again! 3 weeks in a row, come on MFC!

Great feeling today. It has been a while, and to notch up an early season win really feels great.

What's with the song being so quiet?

The clapping and cheering was pretty loud. And we sang it loud too!

Yeah. It was awesome helps erase some of the pain. Melbourne supporters where sensational today. We screamed our guts out.

WHAT A WIN! You little RIPPERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR ;)

Well done to all our boys hope Jimmy got to see the match today.

So much better walking away from the ground after a win, my 6 year old Grandson was over the moon, he's seen a lot of losses and wins have bees rare. You feel better knowing that they are actually good enough to win games and you're not just going to fill in the afternoon.

The song was very quiet today and I don't think it was because of the noise of the crowd.

I was great seeing all the red and blue faithful so elated after the game, especially the kids because they need to feel proud of their club or else they'll give up on the Dees. While today's game was hardly highly skilled and played with intensity, what i was really impressed with was how we responded after the first half.

Great feeling, hopefully will become more common this year.

And yes i think the song was a bit low, i swear it used to blare across the speakers but now you only just hear it in the background.

I also loved the fact that Scully and Trengove were kept back while the others went to greet the crowd, then were sent over on their own. Perhaps not in keeping with the "we are a team" mentality, but it was pretty cool to see them doing the rounds on their own, and no doubt was pretty special for them to have the adoration of the fans all to themselves.

Not sure they were held back by the club. Seemed that Rohan Smith grabbed them both for an interview on Fox.

So proud to be MFC when Jackyboy ran off after his goal and the crowd rose as one and cheered him off. We do that better than most clubs IMHO.

Also, was bloody fantastic to see the smile plastered from ear to ear on Scullgove as they made their way off the ground. These kids are going to make us one hell of a successful club.

YES! i hate that!

The song should roar across the stadium.

Also agree with Pates i remember the song once was played pretty loud. definitely A LOT louder than now.

Living in Adelaide and having a lot of Cows-supporting friends, today was unbelievably sweet. I think I was more pumped after Jones' goal than even for the Freo win in '08. When Junior kicked that one I was so, so stoked because I had this nagging feeling that we weren't going to put them away. And the SA-based media (The Advertiser and 5AA radio station notably) is such a steaming pile of horse shyte, it would have been awful if we'd lost today. Such a sweet, sweet victory. The on-field push to the upcoming flag started today.

Good point. The win today DOES feel like the start of something, especially coming on the heels of last week.

As others have said, good win coming from behind. The crowd got behind the boys, and they returned with a win. Good for the kids.

Adealiade Demon, give us an update during the week on the "steaming pile" (ie. 5aa) putting pressure on the Crows...the jungle drums might commence at 0-3. Or they'll fall back onto key injuries during the game.

I didn't actually notice that. I just assumed they were being talked to by some staff or some such. However, I stand by the rest of the comment, it would have been unbelievable for them walking the boundary alone with the fans cheering them on like that.

I only listen to AA on Wednesdays and Thursdays as that's the only time between 4-7 that I'm in the car (and at other times it's JJJ or cds) and that's only for about 40 minutes, but this week I might have to turn on the old wireless at home, especially tomorrow afternoon. Last Thursday was quite hilarious, Rowey and Cornesy crapping on about how there is no way that the Cows can let themselves lose, they just have to find a way to win. It will be particularly funny because the exact lines "The first two weeks there were excuses (!!!) but this week there is no excuse, they simply must win" was trotted out several times from Rowe and Michaelangelo Rucci (I listened to the Saturday sports show on the way to soccer). Surely the injuries will be the excuse this week.

Adelaide Crows fans sh*t me more than any others because they are the most ignorant, uninformed, biased, fickle fans I have ever known. The small-minded SA mentality certainly perpetuates this. I know a lot of knowledgable Crows fans, but they are 1 for every 100.

Surely the injuries will be the excuse this week.

Tell you what - they can spend all week coming up with excuses and reasons as to why they were the better team and should have beaten us except for blah blah blah, and we will walk around with a smile and the four points.

Sounds like a fair deal to me.
