They were never going to continue it.

CB,

From the article you posted: -

There is the option of an extension at the end of next season.

It wasn't just a one-off, one year deal only. There was an option to continue/extend.

As I initially said, they didn't want a "bar of them."

What would Hancook & Kaspersky make of it with the current arrangement in place if Mars was pursued by CS ?

Isn't the club obliged to honour the current arrangement of terms with the current sponsors ?

Alternatively, Casey Fields could be re-named MARS Oval... No, No scrap that.

MCG - Mars Cricket Ground.... No, delete that one...

I'm sure other clubs will be circling.

They could become our sock sponsor or recovery sponsor...A mars a day keeps the injuries away....something like that..

Re sponsor the section of our football department at Casey.

It was always going to be a one year deal. The Malaysian Gov were celebrating 50 years of independence and beefed up their marketing only for that year.

Certainly, my point is the door was ajar for an extension.

I think this is a classic piece of channel 9 beefing up a nothing story.

Hope i am wrong bcoz i wish nothing but barren sad empty times for carlton.

But i get the feeling this could well be no more than Hot Air..Wait & see...

Oh well its time for a Picnic bar.

I could never work out the logical connection between a conservative muslim country and Carlton.

Maybe a Borneo Booze cruise anyone?

i spent time in Malaysia this year and last near. Never saw any mention of Carlton anywhere

Snickers anyone?

Who is this "Carlton" that keeps coming up on this forum?

Another Carlton press issue that has just it's head is that last years delisted player Adam Hartlett has been arrested on assault charges Christmas Eve- same night as the Booze Boat issue. However Hartlett was arrested for the assaults in Adelaide.-- http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/form...o-1225818477644

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
