or a back

Carlton will want a Quality forward for him. But it will be fascinating to see how desperate they get.

I hope he stays & it really unsettles Carlton. Player Revolts & all that!!

Fev will not be going anywhere. I mean who in there right mind is going to give a first round pick and a decent player for a 28 year old with a massive contract. just scare tatics

I have heard from a very good source that after viewing the footy show on thursday night, Steven Seagal threatened to sue Carlton for defamation unless Fev was traded.

Hahaha, hilarious!!!

I agree with you Clanger. As desperate that Carlton is to get rid of him (and they really are.... I have sources), they are not about to give him away. They will find it difficult to find a suitor who:

a: wants Fev

b: has the room in their salary cap

c: can offer Carlton something in return for the trade. My source (very high up at Carlton) who initially told me this would happen at the GF (refer earlier post in demonland normal section) tells me they want two first round picks or equivalent (ie first round draft pick and very good player).

I ask which club can fill all boxes?

I think he will stay a blue.

wats difference between cousins and fev...he's had all his issues but is still killing it..

Glad you asked. Cousins stuffed up repeatedly at West Coast and was banned for a year by the AFL for a series of drug and alcohol related incidents. During that year off, he put his head down, got clean, and worked his arse off to get picked up in the PSD despite most of the football world telling him he didn't have a chance and was wasting his time. I'm not trying to make him out to be a hero; he got himself into that situation afterall, but he deserves credit for fighting his way out of it and getting to where he is now. On the other hand, Fevola has had a series of major alcohol related incidents including sexual harassment and drunken assault (and while this statement goes against the arsed-backward yob culture prevalent in all codes of football, the fact is that sexual harassment and violence are a hell of a lot more serious than recreational drug use- Cousins hurt himself, Fevola has hurt other people). He has been given countless "final chances", and has repeatedly promised to turn things around, only to come out a few months later and make a complete dick of himself and everyone who believed in and supported him.

And even at his absolute worst, Cousins was always a great on-field leader with a legendary work-rate. I wasn't keen on Melbourne picking him up last year, but at least there was a genuine argument that even though he wouldn't be around when we're pushing a flag, Cousins' experience and exemplary work ethic would have fast-tracked the development of our young list and he would have a positive cultural impact outlasting his playing days. Fevola is the exact opposite; at his best he is incredible, at his worst he is an absolute liability, giving away ridiculous free kicks and showing little to no interest in chasing and pressuring. Not only will he not be around when we're pushing for a flag, but he's more likely to inhibit than improve our development. The guy is a culture sore on-field and off, and I'm happy but not surprised we're not giving him the time of day.

Some fruitloope on sen just now said he has the mail that fev is coming to melb, and where going to pay 75 percent of the contract.

Any chance it was someone from here.

Seriously!

Not me but I wish I had of thought of it. Nothing like a laugh to start a Friday.

just on 3aw the big possibility of Fev going to magpies...they are waiting confirmation from Eddie !!!!.... we don't want him

Its not April 1st is it?

I swear people queue up to ring SEN with b/s rumors at this time of the year. I know a guy who used to do it every year.

I should ring 'em up and say that I have it from the highest source that if Fev doesn't get traded then Judd will leave and Gibbs will go home to SA. Might put the cat amongst the pigeons.

Fev to the Dees is so against everything the club has been building in the last two years that it just isn't logical

And they'll just buy it hook, line and sinker. Especially given that this week is the SEN B-Team. They'll be so desperate for good radio you could tell them anything.

It's ironic that a station who have been playing an ad that says "don't waste time with bogans" for years, allows so many of them on to air their nutbag views.

How long has SEN been on air for?

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.
