Just received an email from a mate who is reasonably well connected in all things footy and he says that Scully could play this week but the coaching/medical staff have advised him against it to ensure he is up and about for next season. It is only 'ScullyButt' but I have taken it as gospel until I hear something concrete.

It would be completely irresponsible of the Rays to play Scully if he's undergone surgery earlier in the week.

Wrap him up in cotton wool and have him ready to report for duty on 27 November!

Its my understanding that the surgery could have been delayed and he was advised to get himself taken care of.

Well, the fact that he's had surgery makes it a dead set certainty that he'll not only be at Melbourne next year but that he'll fit in well with the rest of the team.

No doubt.

not sure if anyone else noticed but an article in the HSun today was about him and he was quoted as saying, "i still haven’t had 1 sip of alcohol, and I don’t think I will any time soon"

That is quite impressive, another potential captain on the way, who needs Brock.

'bout time to change your display name M4B, we don't need that happening.

*BUMP*

Found this thread back on page 4. Poor kid, nobody likes him, he's the ugly duckling now, no longer the flavour of the month. All the talk is for Trengove for Pick#1. I reckon this Scully dude will go at #1.

I'll stick fat with you Sculls.

This, folks, is how you get to over 6000 posts in 16 months...

Thanks for your input, High Tower!

So you've said numerous times now. ;)

Are you on the bandwagon, or do I have to drive this thing myself !?

You know, just thinking about it... thats an average of over 10 posts a day, for every day you've been a member.

I'm not a huge fan of stats, but those numbers can't be denied - HT, you're destined for the Demonland Hall of Fame

So I can't get enough of footy. If it's a crime, I'm guilty. You're not so bad yourself Keyser.

Hey, maybe you can jump on the Scully bandwagon ? everyone else has jumped ship.... ;)

I'm not being critical; I'm impressed.

In fact, I find it worryingly addictive...

Firmly on the Scully bandwagon, I just haven't been advertising it.

This in no way reflects on my opinion of Trengove, I just think Scully has been no. 1 for so long and a minor injury has put him in the shadows at the very end.

Had he have competed in the TAC Cup grand final and at Draft Camp we might not have this discussion.

KS - Ave 20 posts a day.

HT - Ave 10 posts a day.

Lift your effing game HT!

Your soft.

Like pudding.

WOW. That's a bit concerning.

It is draft/trade season though - high traffic time for posts.

Once the draft is all done I'll fade back into obscurity...

yep, that excuse will do just fine for now.

The most bizarre thing - just got a scam email asking for my bank account details to help some poor guy recover his family's lost fortune... from a tscully@safgfaf.co.uk

A sign maybe? :P

Ok, back to work now.

(and THAT is how you average 20 posts a day)

That's the excuse HT used.

Before the....unpleasantness...

Now, we all have to pitch in to have his groceries home delivered as he is too big to get off his bed and away from his lap top.

We tried taking his computer away but he just starts knashing his teeth at us jiggling his body fat up and down so heavily that his whole house shook.

Scary stuff.

And you wonder why 45HG16 always pulls me up on having a go at Freak?

Well, Freak was sat on that day. Well, 'rolled over' on, at least.

Really does explain a lot though...

Does HT wash himself with a rag on a stick like I do..?

All very fanciful, but I can't imagine anything interesting me too much once the draft has gone.

Between then and the season there is little to discuss bar jumper numbers (joy!) and during the season I can't stand reading all the different criticisms and game synopses written - I'd rather form my own view.

Also my workload during the season tends to leave me precious little time.

But we shall see. I may yet become a scourge on this forum.

Heaven forbid.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
