Scully kicking efficency

Featured Replies

The reason behind this kicking efficiency ave is because he is constantly at the bottom of packs, picking the ball up and either handballing or kicking it away with opposition right up him. I really hope we get him, he will be a star

i hope your rite mate, but after sundays game you have to wonder, they couldv made changes to lose that game, they chose not to,he coached 30 odd games, how many times as he been in front 3/4 time, its a major concern, when hes in front at 3/4 time

hes bloods rushing, and he wants to win.

As I see it:

1.Geelong beat us by around 50 points

2.Bailey makes 4 changes to the squad for Sydney, unsettled team loses marginly to the Swans

3. Over the following 3 weeks various senior players are sent off for season ending surgery.

4. The likes of Newton, Bail, Mckenzie, NcNamara, Buckley, PJ, Whelan, Bartram, Valenti, maybe Hughes are all mow playing seniors, ensuring us more narrow losses.

5. For good measure Bruce, Davey, Green, Jones all sit on the bench for extended periods leaving some tired legs on the ground.

6. Grimes played deep in defence to limit his ability to damage opposition, Morton also continued to be played back, Davey played deep forward.

7. End result, probably one win, but possibly none

8. Tom Scully and pick 2 to the Demons.

Well root it, you're a ripper!

A spot of surgery for a few of them eh? Just what do you have in mind-a vasectomy for a few to ensure that in 2012 they're not being kept awake at night, stomach tuck for Morton to ensure he doesn't develop a big gut, electric shock treatment for Col Sylvia so he can keep his mind on the job, a spinal stretch for Valenti to make him a ruckman/ Just who NEEDS surgery?

Must say the tankers will be upset by the team announced for Saturday-the very game we need more taggers we bring back Bartram. Sounds about right to me!

:lol::lol:

Bruce - Hair transplant - Yeah-Yeah. - season

Green - Right foot surgically attached - 6 weeks

PJ - 360 degree castors sewn on to feet - 1 week, but another 6 to get alignment right.

Bell - rear view mirrors attached to forehead - 6 weeks, hindsight is difficult to adjust to.

Robbo - tattoos on forearms, must chase opponent when they've the ball.

Well Donny Baby,

I take it by your post that you agree with all my other points, 1,2,4,5,6,7 and 8

I'll take 7 out of 8, great to see you coming around to a more progressive view

i have some idea mate, they screwed the PP in 07 and there going to do the same in 09,baileys strike rate is shithouse and he will do anything to improve it afterall its his job on the line, and as freo they are clearly the worst in the comp, there won 2 in a row, theres now way there gona lose 6 out of 7 games, at best we will get pick 2,3,4 or 5, 4weeks ago i was rubbing my hands togother scully, trengrove, after sunday thats just a pipedream.

Do you realise how ridiculous this post is?

Daniel Rich was only about 65% or something like that from memory in the Championships last year.

I look at the Eastern Ranges and see guys who imo aren't good kicks with higher efficiencies than those I'd consider the better kicks

I'm a big fan of the shock treatment for Colin. That roundhouse was the dumbest thing he has ever done, and that's saying something.

Roost It is being more than a tad flippant, but I would be very suprised if DB and CC don't do similar things leading into the Richmond and NM games.

And Jack The Ripper, Bailey seems to me to be very comfortable. Even before the WCE and PA return to some semblance of form, I wanted Bailey to have an extra year put on his contract at the end of this season to give him two years to bring the Demons up the ladder. He will try to do what's best for the club.

Roost It is being more than a tad flippant,

Tell me what is flippant about my post. Don't you think this is pretty much what will happen? I'd be surprised if I wasn't on the money with each of my 8 points. I'd be interested to see where you disagree.

Marginal losses are a bit much, we're still not a great team by any means.

Completed dominated the game against Port for a less than 2 goal win and West Coast obviously struggle interstate and yet they still had more scoring shots and inside 50s.

We should beat Freo at the 'G, North Melbourne always match up well on us and clean us out, the real danger game is against Richmond, can't imagine Jade Rawlings wanting to lose so he should get that one, in fact, an article today about him saying he wants the top job next year...

So far so good, now watch for the changes.

Yep;)

I recon newton is a good chance.

Also i think mckenzie will debut soonish.

Also valenti surely should get a crack soon, but you no how it is.

Out: Robertson, Mclean (surgery for pace), 2 others

In: Newton, Valenti, 2 others

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
