red&blue&true 0 Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 There was once a great club feared by all its rivals, without fail this club would be top 4 every year and had just experienced the most succuccessful period of all AFL clubs racking up premierships like they were bargain rolls of toilet paper after a large meal of spicy indian curry. Yes this club was our club, we owned the top of the ladder. Then Barassi left and we treated Norm Smith like dirt, we pretty much changed overnight no longer were Melbourne continually sitting above all others, instead we were down the bottom all the time, looking to fill each previously won cup with a big lumber spoon, MFC was out of place, the world had turned upside down!! So, the snow joke was born, when Melbourne were doing badly we were all off to the snow, the true meaning has been lost over the years but the joke was we were upside down,.. why snow? get out your crayons and write DEMONS on a piece of paper, turn your paper upside down and you have the MFC snow joke. Carry on! B)

Guest JACKtheRIPPER Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Ii can never understand why people want to go to snow, you go outside fall off your snowboard and your soaking wet, your better off going down the ISLAND and go surfing, and it dont cost a 1000 bucks, thats probably why i live in cranny.
45HG 1,559 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 JtR, you'd be hard pressed to find a place where you can get a nice cold beer for $9 a pop near the beach, easily done at the Snow

Guest Rojik of the Arctic Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Meh. With all this global warming going on we only have to listen to that tired old joke for a couple more years.
Craig Drinker 179 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Meh. With all this global warming going on we only have to listen to that tired old joke for a couple more years. Also with the push into Casey the joke won't quite fit any more. Not sure how many bogans head up to the snow ?
