Robbo interview before the Essendon game

Featured Replies

Robbo was interviewed on Fox before the game, he stated that himself and a few of the senior players would be donating a sum to the club, great to see he does love the Red and Blue

Anyone else see this

that's fantastic... i'm sure they'll salary sacrifice and save half of their donation on tax, but still, very generous of them :)

Thats great! Did he happen to mention how his treatment was going? Really missing him up forward.

I missed it but my friend who i was watching the game with said he is now jogging

Yeah seems to be going well, think he said he'll be back jogging again in a fortnight but think he might have said it'd be 6 months (not sure if it's from now or from the time of injury) before he'd be back sprinting again.

ive been starting to think that maybe his time is up but this bloke really loves this club and i hope he comes back for another couple of years in the forward line and shows some real leadership down there

I would love to know what other players have offered to give their support, i really can see robbo as a person linked to our club in a major capacity in the years to come

With Neita gone I would have thought getting Robbo back up and running would be a priority.

Thank god Robbo's out of that moon boot. Unbelievably depressing watching him at the doggies game walking the boundary.

Hmmmmmm. I'll go with the latter quote.

That is great to hear, maybe it will get a few supporters bugging deeper. A lot of bullsh !t gets thrown around about players not caring for the jumper and the club because of what we see for 2 hours a week. Robbo has been one discussed at length, sometimes justifiably mind you, but he does care so would 95% of the players who have been at our club for a couple of seasons.

Im sure alot of our senior players could afford to chip in 6000 grand as they have been robbing the club blind for 10 years haha.

Quick, get his donation before we delist him.

I'm kinda half joking

Who Holland?

;)

I used to really question Robbo as a true Red and Blue or not (particualy when teh Bulldog rumors came up) but I have very intimate knowledge on this bloke, and trust me, his heart is Red and Blue. He would bleed for this club.

Particulay arfter a bad loss or a poor personal permormance, it really effects him.

Iam not supprised at all, how much he is putting in. Hopefully some others around the club will follow suite.

Good on him. I've met the guy, and he's a top bloke who i know has always bled for the club. Its nice to know he, and the other unnamed senior players, have taken it upon themselves to help out the club in this crisis time.

It's good leadership IMO.
