ATTENTION ALL DEMONS FANS

Tired of enduring slander and insightful comments from opposition supporters? Do you want to watch the game isolated as a passionate MFC supporter or do you just want to sit in an area in the afl members and represent the greatest footbll club in the land with other passionate mfc people.

Here is your chance.

I too am sick and tired of the above. Therefore I am pleeding with all mfc AFL members to show their alligance and form a group of AFL members in the front rows of this seating area. I endure the horrid and harsh from opposing supporters week in week out. If there are any paid up AFL members amongst us please make yourself known on this thread. I would love to sit with some legitimate lovers of this great football club for a change.

Front row?

No thanks ;)

PS. Might want to add 'AFL Members' to the subject.

;) No thanks. MCC/MFC here.

Mate, one of the best part of going to the footy, is getting to slagg off the opposition. I would suggest to come up with some opposition insults and throw it back at them.

P.S Welcome to Demonland.

While I haven't been anywhere near as vocal as I used to be, I love giving it to the opposition, and I can take it just as well as I give it. All for a chuckle. When people get personal and start laying into you for your comments, though, is what gets to me. If an opposition supporter wants to get all aggressive towards Melbourne, so be it, because I'm the same to opposition. I love it.

Yes personally I love to sit amongst the middle of opposition supporters. At this years Queens Birthday I was a lone demon amongst a sea of Collingfilth.

Perhaps there were 3 or 4 others around.

Loved it :D

What are you talking about?

The best party is when you sit amongst all the opposition supporters.

It's what i'll be doing this week!!! Give it to those Essendon d!ck$

The MCC is a joke. Got turned away from the gate yesterday because my designer jeans had a hole in the back pocket. I paid $300 for my membership (and as much for my Tsubi jeans) and they flat out refused me entry for having small holes in the pocket that nobody will be able to see once I'm seated.

It was the first game this year I was going to sit in the members as figured there would be more Demon supporters in there, but was persecuted for having a bit of style.

It's not like they could afford to pick and choose who they let in with such a small crowd either- perhaps a "make sure you don't wear them next time" could have been in order....

Utterly ridiculous.

Maybe a straight MFC membership instead will suffice next year then! ;)

I was thinking about changing my membership due to this. Being an Melbourne AFL member is like being a interstate member. I get out numbered every week and the atmosphere is crap especially when we are losing. I'd be interested but I don't like sitting at the front though.

Well I guess the MCC does have some taste after all. haha

Thats what you get for wearing Tsubi Jeans.

(sorry mate-had to say it)

Like them or not, surely they're better than a pair of jeans purchased at Dimmy's..... (the MCC's attendants suggestion when asked what the F am I supposed to do then!!)

I hate the MCC. I mean honestly why the [censored] would i have to wear a collar to the football?

I rock up to the MCC as a guest, relunctantly wearing the collar, and my jeans had a TINY rip in them that i didn't even notice was there.

The old guy wouldn't even let me in. Then i just went around the old guy and the other guy let me in. I'm never going back anyway.

Yeah i'm an AFL member too and the lack of Melbourne support there pisses me off a little bit.

You don't have to wear a collar to the football if you don't want to.

You don't have to sit in the members reserve either.

But, if you want to sit in the members reserve, you have to wear a collar.

It's really pretty simple.

And it's not unreasonable for the MCC to have some rules for its members (and guests).

After all it is a club, like lots of others in Melbourne. It's just that this one has a sports basis.

If you don't like it, don't go there.

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?

  • FEATURE: 1925

A hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.
