I would be happy to trade Sylvia. I have run out of patience. He has only shown glimpses during his career, i get the feeling he would be better suited somewhere else. McLean was recruited from the same draft...a world of difference.

I like Pettard, he will be a super player, once injury free. However, if he wanted to play for the GC then you have to find a trade.

I'd trade Bruce well beofre i'd trade Green, however they are both too old to be traded now me thinks.

Lastly, Rivers and Moloney are two players im running out of patience with. If we can get something for these two injury plagued players i would be happy. Don't get me wrong i think Rivers is a champion, but what good is a champion if he can't get out on the park? Same goes for Moloney.

In fact, correct me if i'm wrong but I believe the last trade of a top 10 pick was when Fremantle gave up their number 8 pick in a three-way trade for Tarrant.

Top Ten picks are fast becoming untouchable and started to become so even before all the Gold Coast stuff.

Not for the right player.

Carlton gave pick 3 as part of the Chris Judd deal.

Also Richmond originally traded pick 8 to Freo for Polak and pick # 13.

Trading has predominantly been focussed on talented NQRs that do not elicit top picks. If the quality player is there that fills a void in another team then they are likely to trade early picks to fill it

There is also a world of difference between a fit Silvia and a injured Silvia, which has seen him play only limited football of recent

At least you spared readers an endless "wall of text".

Says the guy who's approaching 5000 POSTS of the same pessimistic tripe he's always regurgitated from whatever hack Herald Sun journalist has gotten the back page article that week... "Oooh the Saints need pace!" Footy is footy RR... It hasn't changed as much as the sensationalists would have you believe.

Davey for pick 4?

Where do I sign!!!!

Yep. I'd take that in a second. I love Davey as much as the next guy, but he's got question marks that have never been answered even though he's now of a prime age. Good player, but we are in DIRE need of a Watts/Rich/Hurley that would go pick 2-4... Shame it would NEVER happen.

I quite liked his wall of text, good to see you cop it for once RR. Nice work Dappa!

How about that RR? 5000 posts and I can't remember the last time anyone agreed with you, or you agreed with anyone else... Don't forget you're the only one who doesn't have to READ what you post.

I envy you...

Interesting thread, the last time I had a 'discussion' like what we've seen here I was accused by certain mod's of having a vandetta against them. It's just a pity they're unable to see the obvious, it's made worse by the fact that the culprit is better than this. He's intelligent and does understand the game well, it's just so obvious that he deliberately winds people up. Nash describes it as 'robust posting' but it's more than that, it's a form of cyber bullying and it goes against everything that the site stands for. He's been like it since the start and it's a pity that nothing will ever change because he's mates with the owner of the site.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
