Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

For anyone that just wants to join the "Group" league and compare their scores against Supercoach finest. (tongue in cheek).

The group League doesnt have a round x round season comp, but you can compare scores with everyone that has joined the "Group".

The current total in the "Group" stands at 44 teams.

The last Supercoach the Cordner League is available. This league is open to everyone. This has no bearing on the comp, as it is being filled by Guest teams and still a few places available. Cordner League Code = 769370

Good luck to all the teams in 2014

Many thanks for coordinating all of this DV. Brilliant Job!!!! Best of luck - and same to all other Coaches. Hope its competitive - just like the might Dees this year!!!

Thanks. Twasnt much. All I did was gather a few names, Pm'd out a few details and made a list.

Inbetween got divorced 3 times, thrown in a nuthouse. My meds are now being reduced, and hoping the st8 jacket comes off before the Melb game.

On a serious note, Stlll a few spots in the Cordner league ,if your quick.

For those sweating on how you are going to get kicked out of the Stynes league :) I'll Post how the promotion system will work, I'll do that prior to our SC season fixture when they sort it out. Its been passed through the Senate, so I feel confident that as confusing to some as it may be, its not too hard to understand once you read it a 1000 times. :)

hot tip for all SC players. Strongly consider crouch if you dont have him, only query on the kid was that he might get the vest... if hes named in the starting 22 this thursday.. you will have time to swap from a player like aish or ellis and save yourself some sweet sweet cash.

Supercoach - Promotion / Demotions Stynes League (Div 1) Robbie Flower (Div 2) Barassi (Div 3) (If enough teams for a 3rd Div)

1: The Grand Final winner in the Flower league (Div 2) replaces last on the ladder in the Stynes League (Div 1) (regardless of season points scored)

* Finish on the bottom of the ladder in the Stynes league, its a automatic demotion to the R.Flower league. * Replaced by the R.Flower GF winner.

2: All the Season Points scores from Div 2 and Div 3 teams will be compiled from highest to lowest.

3: Then the top 18 teams from DIV 2 and DIV 3 will then be placed into the R.Flower league (Div 2)

4: Then the highest Season Points scorer in the R.Flower League (Div 2) IF higher than lowest Season Scorer in the Stynes League gets promoted

5: The newly promoted GF team from the Barassi league (Div 3) that has also scored more Season Total Points than any team in the Stynes League

will be promoted into the Stynes League (Div 1). (The Bradbury Award)

* 4 and 5 After the last placed team in the Stynes league has been replaced, the next 2 lowest scoring teams in the Stynes league will have their scores compared to the best Season Points scorer in the R.Flower league (Div 2) and then Div 3 GF winner, that also had more season points.

===========================================================

To get into the Stynes League from a lower league, teams need to

a. Win the Grand Final in the R.Flower league.

b. Score higher season points in the R.Flower League than any team in the Stynes league.

c. Win the GF in the Barassi League (DIV 3) and also have scored more points than any team in the Stynes League.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
